Morning Everyone,
It's been so long since I've been on the computer I can hardly remember how to operate this thing. We are home from our vacation and does it ever feel good to sleep in our regular bed. We had a wonderful trip, it was a dream come true for the both of us. We were watching National Geographic on the TV last night and it brought back the days we spent with Chech and Dennis in the park during our trip. What a memory we have of the park thanks to those two, what a show they provided for us.I think Dennis and Chech know more about Yellowstone than the park Rangers, their knowledge was just amazing. I haven't had a chance to talk with Chech since we left Yellowstone but our trip out of the park on the East side was so beautiful that morning, Mrs. J was really busy with the camera.

We traveled over 8,000 miles during those 6 weeks and we managed to see and experience what we have watched on TV for all these years, it was just awesome. I will admit though, it felt good to see Tuscaloosa as we arrived home. Cheesy

Woo hoo, we made it to Friday!!!  Dancing

Chech, I hope the fishing was good yesterday. NALT, there ought to be a lot of big yeards you can mow there in Alaska (or does the grass even grow?   )

HL, I hope you have a shorter day today.

OT, you going to go watch the Yankees-Red Sox game?

Whatever y'all do this weekend, have fun!

I won't make the game, 2, but will be glued to the TV coverage. The BBC ran an article that just featured the American food that will be in the stadium, including 2-foot-long hotdogs. They were also amazed that sellers "roam" the stadium with the food so you don't have to get up.

Here's a BBC article that has one section titled "Is baseball too difficult to understand."
If you want to see a difficult sport, watch cricket which I've never understood.

OT, I'm with you, I've never been able to figure out cricket. I don'y even know what a wicked googly is.

Good morning folks.  Glad you were able to enjoy the trip Jamos.  Tell Mrs. Jamos I said hi.  I'm going to work today but have already been told that I won't be needed for the weekend.  I left my cell phone number with them just in case though. I am hoping to go find a bear with three cubs.  I might also do some fishing from the local city pier too.  I hope you all have a wonderful day... Stay safe...

Yep, I'll be knocking off about 1.  Just in time to find a nice spot to watch the US Women's soccer team.  Terrible tournament grouping by FIFA when you have the best two teams meeting in the quarterfinals.  I think we're a little better than France, but they'll have the huge advantage of playing in Paris.

This morning on my way to work I stopped at a beach just a couple miles from the office.  I saw A LOT of spray from some whales that were just off the beach.  I didn't see any of the whales themselves though but the spray from them was happening as far out as I could see.  I stopped again this afternoon to see it.  This time I actually saw several Gray whales breach the surface with their backs.  I had no idea they were Gray whales but a local was there and we got to talking and he said that.  Sometimes Orca will swim up into the really shallow water to scrub the barnacles off of their underside.  I'd love to see that too...

Tomorrow, Saturday, I am going with a coworker or two to try and find the momma brown bear that has three cubs.  I might try some trout fishing later, maybe...

I'm happy you guys are livin' the dream. I can only imagine how beautiful it is out there, NALT.

My brutal work week is finally over. Mrs 2 and I went to the movies yesterday afternoon. Was a nice treat. I'll be heading over to Arrowhead Pointe golf course near Elberton, Ga this morning to play golfball. Really looking forward to that. Golf tomorrow too. Life is getting better.

Good morning folks.  Beautiful morning here.  I'm looking forward to trying to find the momma bear with cubs. One girl I work with (I just met her out here even though she is from Huntsville) had to make the hour long drive in to town yesterday morning to unlock her smart card.  While in route she saw a bear cross the road in front of her car.  I have made that trip 5 days in a row and even though I have seen many, many black tail deer, I have not seen a bear. Sorry your missing the bears, NALT.

OT, you should have gone to watch the baseball game. In the 8th inning, the Yankees lead the Red Sox 17-13.  Shocked

Good Sunday morning.  Coffee

NALT, hope you get to see a bear today.  Please have your camera ready!  Remember, hold the bear close to the camera so it looks bigger.

I'm going fishing.  Tomorrow begins the trek home.
