Auburn loses to Florida in the bottom of the 11th to end their CWS hopes (Florida advances to the CWS).  It was a long fly ball in the bottom of the 11th, Barn outfielder looked like he caught it, but then it popped out of his glove and over the fence for a HR.

That was the 11th inning of Game 3 of a Super Regional against the #1 team. They were 1 run from the College World Series. We were last in the SEC and did not make the SEC 12 team tournament. Our baseball program has a lot of ground to make up.

The Braves won last night 8-2 over the Mets in Atlanta.  ESPN did the play-by-play and made a big deal over Hank Aaron.  He was supposed to be in the broadcast booth during multiple innings.  I wanted to watch it but Mrs. Nalt had America's Got Talent on instead... Angry   Banging your head against the wall.

Another interesting play happened earlier in the game, when Florida used a trick play to steal home.  With runners on first and third (and a left handed pitcher), the runner on first pretends to be stealing second and trips, completely grabbing the pitcher's attention long enough for the runner on third to score.  ESPN video below:

Conditions were a little more benign today, not to say that anyone tamed the course by any means, but it looks like the cut will be +8. That eliminates Tiger, Kuchar, Bubba, Day, and McIlroy.

Phil has redeemed himself a bit and is at +6. If he doesn't blow up over the last 3 holes, he should make it to the weekend. Speith is playing with McIlroy and Phil, and is at +8. If he holds serve, he'll play the next two days as well.

DJ is leading the pack at -4 and Ian Poulter is at -3. Nobody else is under par.

Shinnicock Hills is whoopin' butt.
