Yay NALT!!!  Applause E-Cred Nice to know Alaska is not bear-less.

Preacher, I'm glad you're on the mend. Chech, I'm glad you'll be spared from the storm, but the models they are showing this morning indicate you will get your fair share. It's a gulf storm and they are difficult to predict, so keep your popcorn handy.

NALT, I want to see these bears!  Hopefully the pics came out.

Yeah, the tropical storm (Barry) is now expected to give us heavy rain by Saturday-Monday.  Rain is welcome this time of year, and we're plenty high atop Mount Chech; just hope the winds are modest.  Looks like New Orleans is getting flooded bigtime.

They are now predicting 8-12 inches of rain for Mobile. Not nearly as much for P'cola.

That's not too bad if it's over 4 days.  But 8-12" in a day would swamp New Orleans, and prolly Mobile as well.

The jury is still out on what we'll get here.

Well Mrs Dottie and I are praying for you all not to get so much of this storm. Today we hope that NALT will see plenty of bears, and the golf balls fly further by 2. We had a good Bible Study last night I was teaching on "Church Discipline" something that has been missing. Hey everybody have a Blessed day and pray for each other and our teams. RTR!

My bear pics didn't turn out as well as I had hoped.  They were in some really tall grass (where's my lawn mower when I need it?)  so when they were walking on all-fours they were almost impossible to see.  When they would raise up on their hind legs I could see them well but I didn't get a pic of them doing that.

The last two days have been foggy with misty rain.  Today appears to be clear and sunny.

Good Friday morning. Getting ready for the weekend. Maybe some golfball one or both days, depending on the weather.

Speaking of weather, Barry is spinning in the GOM with 50 MPH winds. They already have mandatory evacuation for Plaquemines Parish. Chech, it still looks like you will get plenty of rain.

Was watching PF yesterday. He had Tim Brando call in with his prediction of where everybody will end up in college football. He said it will be Clemson #1 and Bama #2, and that Clemson will put another beatdown on Bama for the Natty. I hope we make him eat his words.

Good morning.  Coffee

Thanks for telling us what PF said, 2.  Glad to hear we're the underdogs again.

I just watched Jim Cantore in New Orleans.  The Louisiana governor was talking about logs slamming into the levees and weakening them.  Nothing like spreading panic and rumors!

We'll likely get rain; heavy rain.  That's okay.  It's been dry for the past 10 days, and my grass is crispy.  No worries here.

THE BRAVES ARE #1.  Woot!

Thanksgiving almost came early this morning. I very nearly hit a group of 4 turkeys pulling into the parking lot at work. One of them particularly seemed hellbent on suicide by motor vehicle.

Good morning folks.  Foggy here on the island.  A bit cool too.  Glad you were able to avoid suiciding the turkey Doc.  On my drive in I came upon a momma deer standing on the edge of the road looking at her young fawn as it lay there in the roadway refusing to get up.  Someone just before I got there had suicided it apparently.  I could have done the same to several deer this morning but were fortunate enough to see them before doing so.

I hope everyone "weathers" the bad weather that is coming.  I think Huntsville is only supposed to get 1" to 2" from it which isn't bad.

FIFY.  No point in clouding the picture by including the American League...  Wink

So the Braves are #1 in the NL east and #2 overall (only 5-1/2 games behind LA) in the NL.  Not bad really...

Sad story about the fawn, NALT, but that's life. I'm glad you're enjoying your stay in Alaska. Be sure to keep your camera ready in case that rare bear shows up.

Chech, they're still calling for 5-8 inches of rain for you. You may be able to fish in your front yard.  Cheesy
