Too much news for individual threads, so let's consolidate here.

"Oregon State hires Wisconsin’s Gary Andersen"

Quote
Oregon State lost one head coach to the Big Ten. As it turns out, the Beavers may be landing a coach from the Big Ten as well.

Wisconsin head coach Gary Andersen will be the new head coach of Oregon State, according to a report from The Portland Tribune. Andersen reportedly was one of five finalists to fill the coaching vacancy at Oregon State after Mike Riley accepted a job offer from Nebraska. The 50-year old head coach is certainly a good fit for Oregon State out west, and it is certainly a surprise to see Wisconsin lose another coach to another power conference program buried in its respective division.

Why would anyone want to leave an established Wisconsin program for Oregon State? Bielema a couple years ago and now this. What's going on at Wisky?  Huh?

Looks like Auburn could be looking for a new OC, I wonder how much this would affect the "Gus Bus?"

There is already a ripple effect from the announcement of Lashlee being in the running for the Tulsa job.

Anderson was born & raised in Utah. He has coached/played at Utah. He's closer to home.

Haha! I couldn't help but notice this comment from a barner:

Quote
Auburn is going to pass the ball more in 2015 and I could see Duke, Sammy & someone with this kids frame all having close to 1000 yards.

This guy is delusional if he thinks D'haquille Williams and Sammy Coates won't be bolting to the NFL.

Kind of makes you wonder if the Wisconsin team knew about this coaching change before their big loss to Ohio State, eh?  No wonder they didn't show up!

Bielema claimed that he left for Arkansas because Wisconsin wouldn't pay his assistant coaches a competitive salary, and so he kept losing assistants.  It wasn't the lure of the SEC or even a raise, it was the prospect of his assistant coaches getting paid that caused him to leave.

Rumors are flying, but one that seems most widespread is Kyle Whittingham (Utah) to Michigan.  That's interesting, because Utah is the alma mater of Gary Andersen, who just accepted the Oregon State job.  Could he reverse direction and go to Utah??
