Rumors are flying, but one that seems most widespread is Kyle Whittingham (Utah) to Michigan.  That's interesting, because Utah is the alma mater of Gary Andersen, who just accepted the Oregon State job.  Could he reverse direction and go to Utah??

Surprised you guys haven't updated this thread today:

Muschamp interviewed for the Houston position of HC.  Heard that on Finebaum.  Apparently it's his if he wants it.

I actually had to work today.  Angry

I don't see him being a good fit for Houston. Their M.O. is all offense and no defense. Not a dream situation for him, IMO.

This has to be misinformation from his agent. He was a disaster at UF.

 Huh?

I still don't believe it.

Quote
Houston has interviewed former Florida coach Will Muschamp for its open head coaching job, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Muschamp was reportedly connected to defensive coordinator jobs at Auburn and Texas A&M, with murmurs of an opportunity at South Carolina under Steve Spurrier. The former Gators coach has not committed anywhere, though, and it may have paid off with an offer to continue being a head coach with the Cougars.

The ESPN streamer just showed that sources are reporting that Muschamp has narrowed his choice down to the Houston HC job or the Auburn DC job.

That was the same info on Finebaum this afternoon.
Basically, Muschamp can decide if he wants to be a HC, or work for an idiot's husband!

No kidding!

I really thought SC had a chance, but I guess that was just rumor.

Personally I don't think Muschamp is the coach that a lot of folks make him out to be. When he left Texas for the Florida job, head coach, I thought that was a bad move on his part because you don't get a job as a head coach in the SEC West to learn how to become a head coach. I think he will find the job at Auburn to be a real pressure cooker and his anger management isn't the best, not a good recipe for success.

Plus, nobody there even knows how to spell defense.
