Thanks guys. We made it safely home. It rained on us all the way from Pensacola to Atlanta. Luckily, we made it through Atlanta without incident. Its cold and dreary here. I miss P'cola already.

Don't worry 2 it will still be here when you get back to Sweet Home Alabama. RTR!

How's your back, 2?  Spring and golf is coming.  I have 3 people who I normally play golf with, and we rotate a 4th on whoever is willing/available.  One of my normal 3 is out in Yuma, AZ til mid-March, but I think that will be just about the right time we want to get out on the course.

Um, Pensacola is in Florida.
I know we tried to claim it for years, and truly it should be part of Alabama, but once the Navy landed there it was firmly established as part of Florida.

They still call it LA (Lower Alabama).

HL, my back is still crap; no better but no worse. I've been playing very little golf because of the cold weather, but I'll be giving it a go this Sunday. I have 3 golf trips scheduled this year; Santee, SC in April, Cherokee, NC in May, and Elberton, Ga in September. Fingers crossed.

In Mobile when I lived there, you used to drive down I64 to connect with I10 where one sign pointed west to Pascagoula and the other east to Pensacola. The names cofused tourists so much, they changed the signs to Mississippi and Florida.

I'm thinking beach:

Good idea.  I'll be heading to #'s 7, 8, and/or 9 in three weeks for a stay of about 5-1/2 weeks.   Cool

NALT - I know you'll miss home, but hopefully you'll get enough free time to enjoy that trip.  And pocket a bunch of per diem.  I miss work travel.   When I was supporting an FMS contract back in 2009-2011, I logged 15-20 trips a year (usually of the 3-4 day variety).   Hotels and airports get old after a while, but so does the same office/cube.

I am going to get totally sick of my hotel this trip.  When I arrive on island I will be taken directly to the hotel, checked in and escorted to my room. I will NOT be given a room key-card and will have to quarantine in that room for 10 days.  I can not leave my room at all for those 10 days.  After that I will be able to roam the island freely during my free time.

Wow, is that for everyone traveling into Hawaii, or do they have Alabama on their naughty list?   That is going to be a bummer of a 10 days.   Hopefully the room service menu is at least good!

That's for everyone arriving there, HL. My business partner cancelled his family vacation there because of it.

Considering their economy is largely based on tourism, that's an extreme measure.
