Here is Mrs. Chech standing on our sidewalk.  The snow is up to her ankles (and the 3" of ice from Tuesday's sleet is below that).  Fortunately the snowy weather moved away last night, and we can start clearing snow away today.  But it's 17 degrees now, and only getting to 34 today.

How did your pipes hold up, Chech?

Well, it hasn't warmed enough to know yet if they're okay.  Sometimes they leak after they thaw.  But so far so good.

Chech, we're currently at 22F with a wind chill of 12.   We don't get that Mississippi voodoo weather.

I keep telling LF that God's telling us to move back to the Gulf coast.  When I lived at Dauphin Island we called it winter when the temperatures dipped below 60.

   They corrected it.  Was supposed to say 4 degrees wind chill.  FOUR DEGREES!!

SNOVID

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF THE OXFORD SNOVID:

It's 12 degrees this morning, but should begin a warming trend today.  I drove into town yesterday to mail some packages, but the post office was closed and the drop-off boxes were jammed full.  Yes I called first, and whoever answered the phone said they were open. 

Anyhow, the roads were slick and reminded me of Yellowstone.  So when I got home I changed my signature (below) to a line of Junction Butte Wolves (the ones we watch daily) walking along a mountaintop.
