Good morning folks.  That Stanford/OSU game sounds like it was a fun one to watch.  I just hope Bama doesn't let our game against Bye go late into the game before securing the win... Hope your walk was pleasant 2.  Chech, you going to the gym today?  Hopefully Preacher and Ms. Dottie are still feeling good.  The temp was a little bit higher this morning but that means the rain is getting closer.

Every weekday.  Then I meet some guys ("The College of Knowledge") at a coffee shop for a second cup and chat.  They give me the inside gossip about Ole Miss sports, plus other chatter.  Yesterday I learned Ex-Prez George HW's favorite joke: "Know my favorite magician? David Cop-a-feel."  Then he grabs a butt.   No wonder he's in trouble!

 Laughing Laughing

I have to work in a Walmart today. One of my agents had a death in the family and I'm covering for her. Y'all pray for me.  Sad

My middle son was diagnosed in March of this year with ulcerative colitis.  He is just 13 y/o.  His whole life he has been big for his age but after he started showing symptoms he started losing weight.  He last visited his doctor in April.  We took him yesterday for another follow-up check-up and he had lost another 15 pounds.  The doctor ordered some lab work and promised to call us this morning with the results.  He called and said that Runt has an extremely low blood count and needs to be admitted to the hospital for a blood transfusion.  Mrs. Nalt will be going to get him from school and then I will meet them at the hospital.  He will be there for probably at least 2 days/nights.  Prayers requested and appreciated...

Good morning.  WINTER HAS ARRIVED!  Maybe not officially, but it's 39 degrees and windy.  Unless you're atop a mountain, THAT's winter.
Ice cube

There was a neighborhood gathering last night, so we trudged through the rain.  A great band was playing oldies, a large table of food was waiting, and drinks were flowing.  Fun time.  Most of the folks were planning for their tailgating today (Arkansas vs Ole Miss), but I'm parking in front of the TV myself.  They can have the Grove today.

Let's keep Runt in our prayers today.  Pretty scary series of symptoms.

Enjoy the games.  Last night Florida State reached a new low.  Who loses today?

Been spending time with my family and just saw the news on Runt. Prayers indeed, for my man Runt. Please keep us posted when you can, NALT. If there’s anything we can do to help, please let us know.

This is very saddening. Please give him a hug for me and tell him I will be praying for him. Sad

Hey everyone.  Mrs. Nalt finally got to the hospital with my laptop so I can check in.  She was going to be here early, before Runt's colonoscopy, but my baby girl (17 y/o) was running a fever and had a bad head ache so she though better.  She is feeling better so they came to town.  Runt received his transfusion last night.  2 units of blood.  This morning he is feeling and appears to feel better.  They did his scopes this morning and the report was unsurprising.  One good thing that I didn't realize though is that 1/3 of his colon is unaffected by the Ulcerative Colitis.  Rally happy about that... The doctor has him on some steroids to help get the bleeding under control and his regular medication too.  He will probably be here at least until Tuesday depending on how his blood count checks indicate.  His blood count was 19 yesterday when we brought him and this morning after he received the 2 units it was up to 24.  Doc said he was hoping for 25 or 26 but we will take 24... He is sitting in a chair right now watching "Elvis Aloha from Hawaii" right now while eating a cup of ice.  Foregoing any unforeseen setbacks I think he is on the mend...

Thanks to you all for your prayers and concern...

Sounds about as good as you could hope for.  Now just heal and start producing some good blood cells.

Good morning, all.  It's a COLD Sunday morning; 32 outside.  Ice cube
I'm going to sit right here and enjoy coffee for a while.  The newspaper can just wait.

Sending get-well wishes to Runt this morning, and hoping he's back in form soon.  Also hoping Ricky and Miss Dottie awake warm and pain-free today.

What a crazy day of football!  Ohio State gave the game away during the first half, then came back to play well at the end and win.  I fear that this means we'll have 2 BIG-10 teams in the playoffs and only 1 SEC team, but there's more important tasks first.  Looks like Miss State is playing their best football, LSU is capable again, and the Aubs are going to get crunched by Georgia!  We've got a tough road ahead!

Might be 4-5 SEC coaches looking for jobs.  Certainly Florida and Tennessee will be vacant.  Maybe A&M, Arkansas, and (when the dust settles) Boogerville.  Once they start moving from school to school, there may be a bunch more.

Enjoy the NFL games.  And baseball is warming now that the series is tied.  Lots to stay inside and watch today.
