The wildlife in Sarasota is abundant. I took this pic of a fawn on the #10 hole of The Legacy golf course. It was feeding beside the cart path next to the tee box.

A real fawn drinks milk.  Check for wires.

My wife took this one right outside the front door of our hotel.

It's a movie.  But I deciphered it.  That's a Great Egret, a tall wading bird; pronounced extinct by Audubon during the 1890s, but discovered on Avery Island shortly thereafter, where the McIlhenny family (the tabasco folks) had protected the egret rookery to keep away plume hunters (see millinery; Google it).  Thanks to the McIlhenny family, your wife got to see one.

Egret history from memory; please excuse errors.

"Good morning."

Safe travels, 2.  Hope it doesn't rain.

I know what you mean about the hot sauce, X.  I used to eat it regularly too.  But the tabasco is worse than habanero.  Try some habanero-based hot sauce; may be better on the tummy.

Read what Bo Schembechler wrote about Coach Bryant: Click here for link

Quote
..."What are we going to do?" I asked Bear, who by this time was in his late fifties, a little wrinkled, but still the toughest looking son of a gun you'd ever see.

"Well, Bo," he said, in that deep, gravelly voice, "we got to get us some players. How many you got up there at Michigan that can play?"

"Plenty. But we're only supposed to have three guys from any one team."

"The heck with that," he said. "Get all you can." We ended up with five Michigan guys. Bear brought Johnny Musso, his great running back, and a few others from Alabama....

Hilarious read.

Wow! E-cred for a perfect call. It flooded from Live Oak to Tallahassee and let up just a little from there to P'cola. Good to be home.
