A buddy and I were standing on a hill watching distant wolves in Lamar Valley (YNP).  Wolf expert Rick McIntyre, who has authored numerous books about wolves, was walking uphill to join us when he suddenly said, “Look behind you”, and a black wolf was just 100m away watching us.  We hadn’t even seen it. That guy seems to attract wolves!

These 2 photos are that wolf, which I managed to capture in photos before the wolf disappeared over a hill.

Good morning folks.  Last night James Edward and I went to the Trash Pandas' double-header.  We watched the first game which had the Trash Pandas leading 5-1 going into the 6th then gave up 5 runs to trail 6-5.  Nothing happened in the bottom of the 6th but then the TPs got two runners on in the bottom of the 7th and we got a walk-off triple to win the first game 7-6.  Since it was getting late and it was raining we decided to forego the 2nd game which the TPs won 1-0.

Well, I'm just now coming up for air. Late Wednesday afternoon, whatever was keeping my pain at bay, completely vanished. I've never been in as much pain in my life. It has finally gotten better, but I've been hunkered down until now.
