How’s everyone been doing? Haven’t been around much and haven’t paid any attention to football yet with family, work, and triathlon training occupying all my time and energy. Time to get CRS back into my daily ritual.

Welcome back, Phil. You gonna be selling chicken sammiches again this year?

Yep. The labor shortage is affecting us, so we’re going to scale it back this year.

Safely in Yellowstone.  No, it's not my photo!

Managed to get here okay, but damaged my car by smacking a pronghorn along a prairie highway this morning at daybreak.  It ran out in front of me, along with its buddy, and then stopped.  I tried to steer between them, but smacked the right one with my front, right fender.  Knocked out my fog light and broke some plastic on the fender and bumper, but the headlight was okay.  No so good for the pronghorn!

Chalk up one for me!

Wow, glad you're okay Chech. At least it wasn't a bear or bison.

Just glad it wasn't a bigger pronghorn.  I think hit the stupid one.  It must have evolved from possums!

BTW, I did go into the park after unloading the car yesterday.  Lots of smoke from Colorado and Nevada fires.

I watched 7-8 wolves and their 8 puppies (teenagers now), and a grizzly arrived nearby about 7pm.  The wolves ignored the bear, which was about 100m away.  There is a bison carcass at Slough Creek, so I'll go there this morning.  Fun, fun.

I never would've imagined a bison carcass being a tourist attraction.

Good Monday morning folks.  Interesting weekend.  Took Dad to two doctor appointments on Friday and got good reports from both.  Then on Saturday I took Dad and James Edward out fishing.  Dad wanted to go do some flyfishing so out we went.  He and I both managed to catch about 5 or 6 bream each.  Not a good bite because the willowflies had finished hatching so the fish were fat & happy.  The heat took a toll on Dad though.  He got very weak from it but bounced back after I got him back to his place...

Same in Kenya and Tanzania.  If you want to see the big predators, go to their kills.  Wink

Glad all is well with your dad, NALT. I go under the knife this morning in hopes that I get relief from my sciatic nerve. No golf for 6 months, but if this does the trick, it will be worth it.

Prayers and best wishes for your procedure 2.  I hope you get as much relief from it as I did from my back surgery back in 2003.
