Prayers for success surgery and a speedy recovery, 2!

I never would've imagined a bison carcass being a tourist attraction.

Same in Kenya and Tanzania.  If you want to see the big predators, go to their kills.  Wink

What takes a bison down in Yellowstone?  A pack of something?  Do they tend to stick around and feed for a few days, or are you just looking for the opportunistic passerbys?

There is one particular pack of wolves (The Mollies) who specialize in bison.  Remember, they have no claws and bison have a thick neck mane, so the wolves jump aboard and bite into the bison, eventually weighing it down until it stumbles.  Otherwise, cars kill a lot, grizzlies occasionally kill adult bison, and other bison kill them (search the web for bison killing bison).  A bull bison slammed into another bull's head this week and killed it.  It's on video.  It usually takes 3-4 days for wolves to consume a carcass, but grizzlies usually show up and take it over before the wolves finish.

Hope 2's surgery went well.

Here's a pic I took today to cheer him up:

Cool pic.  You should have gotten out and fed it some sugar cubes...

Surgery went well, guys. My only problem was not being able to urinate after the surgery. Finally, about 7:00 last night, I was able to go. They let me go home at that time. The back is very sore this morning, but I have some pretty good pain meds, so all is bearable. Thanks for the well wishes.

Preacher, good luck with your surgery. What procedure are you going through?

Congrats, 2, on having it go so fine.  The worst is over, and the best is yet to come...on the golfball course.

Good to hear 2stater you are better. They will be removing the box and leads out of my back and try to replace them with new ones. If they can't I will just have to wait in line for a neurosurgeon to replace mine by hand in my back. Just pray everybody else is in good health. Like the pics Chechem. RTR!

NALT - have y'all tried Mr. PoBoy in Gurley?   I'd never heard of it, but I saw an Al.com article on the place and looked at their menu.   Now I'm hungry!

2, I'm happy that you are doing so well.  Continue to follow doctor's orders and heal up.

Preacher, prayers that you can get your procedure done and that it helps out.

Doc, I haven't tried that place.  But I tend to avoid the "local" places in the small towns where I might know people... Weird, I know...

Saw this grizzly during a heavy rainfall.  Yeah, he could hide in there pretty well.   Shocked

Prayers for your surgery, Preacher.
