Good morning folks.  Yesterday was a really nice one.  Had good food and then relaxed the rest of the day.  Well, I was in the garage working on building some cutting boards to give at Christmas.  Taking the youngest daughter back to school this morning early.  She is out of school all this week but has a job over there and she is on the schedule to work starting at 8:00 a.m. today. Welcome to adulthood...

Good that she has a job.

Auburn has just retired War Eagle VII. I think Bama wore him out.

Aight.  So far I have made 10 of them for gifts to the wimens in the family.  I still have to run them through my planer though so it wouldn't do any good to show you what they look like yet.  I am using some left-over lumber that Dad had in the loft of his barn when he had it built 50 years ago.  I can't remember for sure but I  believe the wood is Black gum.  I'll have to ask Dad...  Whatever it is, it is extremely hard so it should make for good cutting boards.

Happy Black Friday.  It'll be a black Friday for the idiot Ole Miss player who was penalized at game's end last night.  His penalty ended the game.  And you wonder why I retired from teaching those knuckleheads!  Poor Matt Luke now gets the wrath of a bad season, plus a loss due to stupidity.
 

Today right here in Charlottesville is the VA Tech vs UVA game.  This house is full of graduates of both.

I watched part of the Egg bowl last night and saw when that idiot did that.  I could have split a liver laughing when the OM kicker missed that extra point.  Not that I thought it was funny for him to miss but because I thought the idiot that caused him to have to make a 35 yard extra point was the cause of it.  "Act like you've been there"...isn't that how the phrase goes?

NALT, none of them 'act like they've been there' anymore. If I was Matt Luke, I would have made that boy walk back to Oxford, then kick him off the team. Pure idiocy.

The Falcons almost made an epic comeback against the Saints last night, when they kept recovering on-side kicks. The Saints held them on the final drive to win 26-18.

Good morning folks.  Absolutely beautiful day here right now.  I think we are supposed to get near 67 degrees this afternoon too.

I'm going to glue/clamp another cutting board this morning then work on another project that I have started for Mrs. Nalt before cleaning up and getting ready for the IB.  Here is a new song released this week.  I think it has potential...

Good morning folks.  We got lots of rain through the night but this morning the skies are clear and sunny.  Cooler temps moving in though.  I'm sure Chech is on the road headed towards home.  2 may be too.  Safe travels to you guys.

Just got home about an hour ago after 10 1/2 hours on the road. We got fed up with the traffic stoppages and got off I-85 at the Winder, Ga exit. We took the back roads all the way home from there. Lots of beautiful country in North Ga and Upstate SC. Glad we decided to do that.

Hopefully, Chech is near home and will arrive safely.

Just got home.  We left Virginia at 5:30 EST (4:30 Central), and got home at 7PM (Central).  That's a long day!  Lots of traffic, fog, heavy rain in Virginia, and plenty of accidents.  

Much easier driving after a win!  But we are safe; thank you.

Glad you made it home safely, Chech. I'm sure it's as cold there as it is here this morning. (43 degrees here)

Back to the grind for me today. In the office today, then off to Lancaster, SC for the rest of the week to help an agency with enrollments this last week of Open Enrollment. Will be glad when it's all over with. I enjoyed my week off last week and ready for some more R&R.

Sorry you have to work this week, 2.  Maybe an office Christmas party there in Lancaster?  Suggest it!

Got several text messages when we got home last night (about Matt Luke).  I didn't know him well, but he dated a friend's daughter during his college days, so I've followed him.  Not a surprise that he was released.  But a bummer for him and his family.

Good morning folks.  Glad you travelers got home safe and sound.  We had a really nice holiday weekend.  Ate good food, plenty of time to relax, and I made some good progress on the cutting boards that we will be giving to the wimens in the extended family.  I also made good progress on a bread box that I'm making out of aromatic cedar for Mrs. Nalt.  I think it is going to turn out very nice.

I got a text from one of my sisters-in-law late last night.  She said that there was an apartment fire in the building where her oldest daughter and her husband lives.  Their unit wasn't burned but it is uninhabitable due to smoke and no electricity, etc.  They have a pacle to stay until they find a new pacle to live so they are ok.  Still, there are others that aren't as lucky.
