Good morning folks.  Glad you made it home safe 2.  Thanks for the reminder that today is Pearl Harbor Remembrance day.  IMO, this should be a holiday due to the events that pulled the U.S. into WWII.  Stepping off the "political" soapbox now...

We are going to the Christmas parade in our town today.  Mrs. Nalt's mother is going to be the Grand Marshall.  The local news paper announced that Karen Carpenter will be the GM.  Mrs. Nalt's mother's name is Karen Chambers...

Somebody gonna be disappointed!

More like cheeseburgers. If she'd eaten a few of those, she may still be with us.

Reminds me:

Did y'all know that Mardi Gras in Mobile used to feature Cracker Jacks thrown from the floats?  Those were the days!
As I recall it ended during the early 70s.  Too many people getting their heads split open by sharp boxes!

Congrats to KoKoPuf who won the pickems this week in a slim field. Only 12 pickers. I guess most people lost interest after the iron bowl last week.

Congrats also to td57 for winning the overrall (we do the bowl games separately, right?) Chech finished 2nd. You might have come in first if you'd gotten your entourage earlier.

Yes, Koko (the gorilla??) did well.  I'm sure I saw more than 12 pickers on yesterday's list.  Oh well.

I changed my Hawaii pick to Boise, then back again.   Angry

Yes, my entourage of blind hogs came through in the second half of the season.  I was 6-4 or better for the past 5 weeks (I think).

How does Ricky do it?  He consistently is at the totem bottom.  That's got to be hard to do.

That was tough yardage to pick.  I couldn't decide if LSU would blow out GA (which they did) or GA would play keep away (and run the ball).

Is Vanna White 90 years old now?  That the right show??

Good mroning folks.  Beautiful here today.  Busy weekend so far and from what Mrs. Nalt said yesterday, that trend will continue this afternoon.  I don't know when I'm going to be able to finish the cutting boards for the Christmas gifts.  May have to just take a day off work...

We're still awaiting photos of those cutting boards!

SNOW predicted for here on Tuesday.  It's finals week, so this could get ugly if it sticks.  Just glad I'm retired; makeup finals can be someone else's problem!
