Well I don't have to worry about thanksgiving this year. I know Mrs Dottie won't eat my Turkey at all, rofl. RTR!

Just glad nobody depends on my cooking for Thanksgiving.  Last time I cooked for someone else was about 1997 when my son and I tent camped out west for 2 weeks.  We ate spaghetti and corn-on-the-cob almost nightly.  He reminds me regularly.

Lol... Mrs. Nalt has a run in front of our refrigerator that says, "Daily Specials - 'Take or leave it'"

If your son didn't like your cooking he could have stepped up and tried it himself...

Yeah, maybe I get full credit for his cooking ability now.  He cooks for his family.  And he's good at it.  Maybe good genes from his mother?

Things that make you go hmm.....

Good Hump Day morning. All that talk of cooking is getting me hungry. Guess I better save my appetite for next week, though.

That pic looks like it's from the 70s.

Good morning.  It's warmer and very breezy.  Should be nearly 70 today, and then comes RAIN!  Yikes -- 1.5" expected.

I bought a repaclement battery for my mower yesterday, removed the plastic (protective) covers from it and connected it to the mower.  That's when I smelled something burning.  I disconnected the battery, checked the ground wire and other connections, then saw it.  The battery had a red plastic cap on the negative post.  I'd connected it backwards.  DUH!  I truly need NALT here mowing my grass.  Anyhow, I mowed my leaves and stashed the mower for spring.

You have a battery-powered lawn mower?

Good morning folks.  Pretty nice morning here so far.  I hope you all have a great day.

It was a big frost here this morning. All of Mrs Dottie's flower bushes will be gone. Look forward to a blessed day for everybody. RTR!

Good morning.  Coffee

Rock Hill?  That was poor marketing strategy naming it that!
Anyhow, safe travels.  And catch a fish while in Pensacola.

NALT, you're off my list as TOP LAWNBOY if you don't know that riding mowers have a battery.  Guess I could push-start it, but LF may not run fast enough for that.

RAIN.  Going to be a stormy day and night here.  It's heading your way, 2, so be careful driving in it.

Good morning folks.  Beautiful morning here.  rain supposed to come in later this evening.

Chech, I know there are battery powered lawn mowers.  I just never expected anyone I know to have one.  Guess I figured those were more likely out west...  Wink

NALT, I'll call you next time I need someone to pull-start my riding mower.  It has a pull cord, but why use that when it's battery powered??

Reminds me of a chainsaw joke: "Whoa, what's that sound?"

That's ok.  When I first read that you repacled the battery in your mower I interpreted that to mean it was an electric mower.    I also for some reason was thinking that was 2's post and not yours...  Banging your head against the wall.

All this mower talk in winter. SMH!

So I’m sitting here in a pharmacy in Rock Hill trying to help people with their drug coverage. They’ve got me sitting in front of a TV that is on the Christmas music channel. As they play the music, they show you bits of trivia. 2 things really stood out to me: 1) Alabama was the first state to make Christmas a legal holiday in 1936.

2) Old Anglo-Saxon translation of mistletoe means ‘dung in a twig’, because birds regularly crap on it.
