Good Sunday morning!

From all reports, it looks like Tua will make a full recovery. That is excellent news. It is sad though, that we've seen him play his last down with us. I hope he has a great career in the NFL. I also hope his character rubs off on some of those thugs.

I was at the Ole Miss - LSU game last night, so I missed the news; excellent.  Thanks.

Once Ole Miss got going, they gave LSU all they could handle.

Good morning.  Coffee

Coffee tastes good this morning.  I sat in the cold at the Ole Miss stadium last night THROUGH IT ALL.  I don't usually go to games, but a buddy called with a ticket, and I could park at his house right near campus, so I went.  We had fun at his tent tailgating and watching the Boog game on a TV set up in the Grove.

LSU toyed with OM.  I don't think the LSU defense even cared if OM scores, as long as the LSU offense kept scoring too.  It was Big12 football.  LSU had 714 total yards; Ole Miss had 614.  Just nuts!

We had good seats, but that cold north wind kept us chilly all night, despite coats and such.  Here's a photo from our seats of the OM band and their sparkle girls.

Yeah, Ole Miss had 400 yards rushing.  Ever heard of 400 yards rushing and losing by 21 (and only 1 turnover)??

I didn't watch the whole game, but OM made Burrow look pedestrian at times.

Burrow's receivers were often wide open deep, and he was seldom pressured, so he had a big night.  He's a talent for sure, but not much flash.  Just a big lunkhead with an accurate arm.  Perfect for the NFL.

Good morning folks.  I was out of pocket yesterday and didn't even get to watch any of the game until late in the 2nd half. I was able to listen to Eli though and I didn't like what I heard with about 3 minutes left in the 2nd... Really sad about Tua.  I have heard (read) that his injury is very much like the one that ended Bo Jackson's career.  I just hope medical technology/procedures has improved enough that Tua can heal up and return to playing.

I assume there was nothing suspicious about two defenders falling hard on him.

It's football.  That is what they were supposed to do from their perspective.

Good morning.  Coffee

It's Monday, and it's cold (still).  Hope you all find a warm pacle to spend the day.

I visited with a friend out in the country yesterday.  We walked the woods with his dogs, carried firewood to the house, and did the good ole backwoods stuff people do out in the woods.  Saw a coyote, but not much other wildlife.  Nice day to be out until the clouds came and it got cool.

Today it's back to the gym and the usual weekday grind.

Your plans?

Well, I just got a text from my office manager that she's been up all night throwing up. I hope it's not the flu, but anyway, I told her to stay home. My business partner is in town, so I guess he and I will cover the office today.

How's that for plans?  Undecided

Not good.  Hope you've had your flu shot this year.  And hope she's well soon.

Did you play golfball this weekend?

Below average for you.

My woodworking buddy reported that his elderly mother, in an apparent act of support for Tua, fell and broke her hip.
She's recovering in the hospital in NY.
