We came out with a win and a TON of questions about our D yesterday. Hopefully, CNS will get some answers, and we improve going forward. With Clemson's close call with UNC, we will likely be voted the #1 team. We aren't, and we will be exposed eventually if the D doesn't step it up.

Having said that, I have faith that CNS and staff can get them playing better. It would also help if we could healthy. A bye week couldn't come at a better time.

I certainly hope we're not voted #1.  The talking heads were convinced last night that Ohio State was the best team, and we didn't even look like the best team in the SEC yesterday.  But we have plenty of time to get it fixed, IF WE HAVE THE PLAYERS TO DO IT.

Today begins a week of record heat for us.  We need rain badly.  The woods are dangerously crispy, and I'm afraid the understory trees are dying.  No relief until at least next Friday.

Another week of sad picks by me.  I tried being random, and I got 4 right I think.  WTH?  The picking gods are toying with me.

At least we have 2 weeks of worrying before we face A&M's offense (with a similar running QB, except he has a better arm and more experience).

Chech, we've got the same situation here. Everything is crispy. Yesterday, storms had formed in the mountains and it looked like they were going to come this way. They did not. we are still crispy.

Good morning folks.  Crispy here as well but at least the grass isn't growing.  I'm sure there will be several trees that die from the lack of rainfall. Such is life I suppose.

Going to church over in Arab, AL this morning then to a family reunion for my FIL's side of the family.

Chech, we've got the same situation here. Everything is crispy. Yesterday, storms had formed in the mountains and it looked like they were going to come this way. They did not. we are still crispy.

I'm going out this morning to sit on the deck and watch birds fight over the bird bath.  That's why I've been able to get photos of so many species.  No water in the creeks here, so the birds hang around our bird bath.  Hey, it's entertainment.  Put out a pan of water if you get bored.

As dry as it's been, I'm surprised you haven't seen a Dodo bird by now.
