96-97 degree highs the first week of October?  If the cooler weather doesn't show up Friday as predicted, Mother Nature and I are about to fight it out.

No wonder SC won the picks at 9-1.  It was his anniversary!!

Good Tuesday morning. We got a little rain yesterday, about 1/4 of an inch. Better than nothing, I guess. No more rain predicted here until next Monday. Temps will break, however, on Saturday. The high will be 74 with a low of 62. Unfortunately, I will be in Jacksonville/Gainesville, Fl then.

I have a meeting with my business partner in Jacksonville on Friday. He has tickets to the Auburn-Florida game, so we'll be going there Saturday.

Then it's off to Pensacola on Sunday. Been a long time since I've been home and I have a ton of stuff that needs attending to. Really bad time of the year to be doing that, but I'll still be fielding phone calls from work. I've neglected these things long enough. It'll be good to watch the A&M game on TV with the girls, though, the following Saturday. The holidays can't get here soon enough.

You working guys sure travel lots.  Normally a trip to Florida sounds like fun, but it's been so hot that --- ugh!

Enjoy the Boog game, 2.  I assume you'll be cheering against the Boogs, eh?

No rain here and no prospects for it.  Glad you got some.

Still quite a few migrant birds around, but mostly atop the trees eating black-gum fruits.  Once in a while they come drink water.

Back to the gym today.

Just saw the forecast: 96 today.  That'd be a record by 2 degrees.

Just saw a report of a 48-year-old man falling into a geyser near Old Faithful in YNP.  He was badly burned, but managed to crawl out and get help.

Yes, he was drunk.  He left the boardwalk around midnight while drinking beer...

Good morning, all.  We were pegged out at 97 degrees for hours in North Alabama yesterday.  Sigh.  I will admit that this mid-high 90s doesn't feel as bad as some of the low-to-mid 90s days a month or so ago.  Not as much humidity.

Just saw the forecast for Friday and Saturday has now been pushed up to 90+.
