Afternoon gents. Sinuses had me down pretty much all last week, but trying to bounce back now. I had the pleasure of driving to work in a nice snow shower this morning, and I think we got somewhere around 2 inches, with more possibly coming tonight and tomorrow. For this ole boy who grew up in Northport, Ala., this is the first time I remember seeing snow before Thanksgiving.

We had 3" on November 7, 1991.  I wouldn'r have remembered, but LF reminded me.

I just looked at Google Maps.  The snow has made a mess of the Washington and Baltimore areas!  Wow.

The weather is all clear but cold here. Fixing to head to Montgomery where Mrs 2 and I will meet with Breddy. Mrs 2 will go to Pensacola with Breddy and my grandson and I will head to T-Town.

Anybody on the road today; safe travels.

Good morning folks.  Beautiful, sunny morning here, just really cold.  There were some accidents on I565 that were probably due to ice on the roadways.  I was able to avoid that area though.  Going tonight to the Bridgestreet Christmas tree lighting.  Yea!

Good morning, all.  Wishing everyone safe travels.  Sure am sorry about the loss of a 44yo daughter.  Was it cancer, Ricky?

Good morning from chilly Virginia.  Coffee

LF and I had a long day of travel.  The fruitcakes were definitely out yesterday; crazy drivers all day.  We saw numerous accidents, some horrible (like the one that killed Tammy), and it took us over 14 hours to get here.  Usually it's about 12.

There was no ice on the roads.  But there was snow in the woods, and several accidents from Thursday were still visible.  The first bad wreck was a burned-out tractor trailer (TT) along I-40 east of Memphis.  Then near Nashville a wreck had just happened, and I-840 was totally blocked, as was I-40 (other wrecks).  The I-840 was a car off a ravine.  State police had blocked the interstate, and a helicopter was sitting on the highway, either delivering a doctor to the scene or picking up survivors.  Near Knoxville a TT was ripped open by an accident, and its cargo was alongside the road; it was crumpled in the ditch.  Another TT had gone off I-81 into trees well below the highway level, and only the top was visible.  Two big tow trucks were trying to haul it from below.  Then on I-81 near Blacksburg accidents completely blocked the highway from Blacksburg to Staunton.  Traffic was stopped.  So we ended up exiting and detouring east to Lynchburg and then north to Charlottesville.  Just crazy.  Got to LF's family home 3 hours after dark.

We had nutty drivers weaving through traffic at 80-90mph, tailgating us constantly, and swerving like idiots between lanes.  Crazy people.  We've driven to Virginia for 40 years; never this bad, even in snow and ice.

Glad to be here.  Roll Tide.

Wow, that is a lot of accidents.  Really happy that you guys made it without getting involved in one yourselves.

If the nutty drivers were weaving through traffic at 80-90 mph and tailgating y'all then how fast were you driving?   Shocked

I usually drive 2-4mph over he speed limit, depending on traffic and terrain.
Guess I didn't explain very well.
Numerous times cars came right to my bumper tailgating.

I’m also glad y’all made it ok, Chech. Sounds like a harrowing experience.

My grandson and I are in the parking lot of Bryant Dr apts waiting on NALT and his crew. My grandson is smarter than me. He brought a football to throw around.

Had dinner with Mr and Mrs Jamos last night. As usual, we had a great time. They have already reported for duty this morning at BDS.

Hope y’all have a great game day and Roll Tide!!!

No HL actually she was Bipolar and had diabetes real bad. She wouldn't take her medicine and she graduated as a RN from the the University of Alabama. It was sad at the memorial she had beautiful kids and very well behaved. RTR!

Indeed, a great morning to be 11-0.

Best news from yesterday: Tua looked great!!

Just hope Damien and the others who were banged up get well fast.  Then we'll demolish the Boogs!

Good morning folks.  It is beautiful but cold here this morning.  Yesterday's game was GREAT and a lot of fun to watch in person after a couple of GREAT friends called me up on Friday night offering me tickets for my family.  Very generous and I am so thankful to have such friends.  But that is the kind of people that Bama fans are.
