Sorry to hear that, Chech. Hunker down and leave the driving to the idiots out in that weather.

They are keeping an eye out here for possibly the same thing, and may close schools tomorrow. Looking at the forecast though, it's not supposed to get below 38 here.

It's supposed to be a nice weekend with temps up around 60.  We have something to look forward to after a week of less-than-desirable weather.

It's been in the 30s for 2 days, without reaching 40, and is 35 now.
But at 35 the ice has melted and freezing rain stopped.  Snow due soon though.

Not the best beginning to Autumn and doesn't really bode well for a warm winter either... But we can hope that this isn't an indication of the kind of winter in store for us...

A tour bus slid on the ice and snow in northern Mississippi (Olive Branch, MS) today and crashed.  At least 2 dead and 44 injured.  The bus burned after the crash.

It's snowing here now, but only a dusting so far.  More snow near Memphis.

   NOBODY can effectively drive on ice.

This was on an interstate flyover where I-22 meets I-269.  Sounds like it was just ice, so they never had a chance.

They're now saying the bus did not burn, but flipped and tumbled.
Many of the victims were senior citizens.

They just reported that the victims were from Alabama, heading to Tunica casinos.  No mention of the Alabama city.

Update:
This was newly opened interstate, and one news source is suggesting that the salting trucks missed treating this section.  Oops.

Update:
One of the persons who died was from Huntsville, a 70-year-old woman.
