Good morning folks.  The old saying is true, "When it rains it pours!"  Today is when Mrs. Nalt's mother is to have surgery to remove the mass in her colon.  My oldest brother sent me an email yesterday around 11:30 saying that Dad had had a heart attack.  I left work and went to the hospital and he was already in recovery from having had a stint put in.  He had three blockages, 1-100%, 1- 70%, and 1-50%.  The doc stinted the total blockage but left the other two to deal with later.  He was awake and feeling pretty good when I left for home around 4:00 yesterday afternoon.  So, as I said, Mrs. Nalt's mother will be having her procedure this morning in the same hospital where Dad is so there is that convenience.  However, the youngest boy came home from school yesterday afternoon crying saying his throat hurt.  He went in the house and went to bed and went to sleep.  He hasn't gotten up yet.  Hoping he doesn't have strep so that 1. he can go to school today. and 2. I can go down to sit with Mrs. Nalt, go to class, go back to sit with Mrs. Nalt until time for me to get home to get the kids from the bus stop... I'll be taking him to the doc this morning as soon as the office opens to find out.

Hope you have a wonderful day today.  It is cold here but supposed to be warmer than the last couple of days. I think we are supposed to actually heat up into the 40's today...

Dang, NALT! I sure hope all 3 will be ok. Prayers for them all to have a complete recovery.  Pray

Good morning, all.  Coffee

NALT, sounds like you need prayers this morning.  Done.
 Pray

Also hoping Preacher and Dottie are okay.  Sounded like Preacher was also getting sick yesterday.  Tis the season.

Lots of folks lining up with opinions about the Georgia game, most saying Michigan's loss ensures that we get into the playoffs win or lose.  Very interesting.  But now that we have our O-line back healthy (pretty much so), it should be a moot point -- we win easily.

Heavy rain coming here tomorrow and Friday night.  Bad storms expected.

Yep, prayers for Preacher and Mrs Dottie, as well.

Our rain is supposed to start tonight and the heavy stuff hitting us Saturday. Will be fairly warm briefly, but we don't get out of the 40s at all next week.

After the SECCG we need the REC to start pushing some 70 degree temps through the South and East...

I blame Jamos for leaving us exposed.  He used to keep us warm with humor!

Since they got rid of the horses and moved, their lives have become extremely busy. That's why he doesn't post any more than he does now.

Maybe if NALT could get over there and cut his grass, he'd have more time.

Morning gents. It is frickin' freezing here in central Maryland, and I really need to finish raking leaves, but of course there is a nearly 100 percent chance of rain on Saturday. Guess I'll have to settle for watching the Tide make the Bulldogs behave.

Wow, that is a lot on your plate, NALT. Prayers for all your family. My dad had a stent put in about 5 years ago, and he said he felt better than he had in several years. Also pray Preacher and Mrs. Dottie and doing ok.

We are planning on coming down to God's country in about 3 weeks for Christmas. Cannot wait.

I took the youngest boy to the doc this morning 1st thing.  He has strep so he can't go back to school until Monday.  Timing is a wonderful thing when it works for you.  While standing at the pharmacy waiting on his meds Mrs. Nalt called with an update on her mother.  The tumor was larger than they expected.  It was also attached to the abdominal wall and touching her liver.  Doc is pretty confident that he got it all (but they always say that).  He also said her lymph nodes are cancerous.  Stage 3 is where he slotted her.  Hospital stay for a few days then chemo in 4-6 weeks.

I haven't had a chance to find out how Dad is doing today but I'm sure no news is good news.  I did email my boss and his boss telling them about Dad, MIL and now James and that I will be out the rest of this week and will need to work some short days (coming in late and going home early) next week until MIL gets to go home.  Maybe they won't fire me... if they do, their loss...

Thanks to you all for your thoughts, prayers and comments.
