I must be a sucker for childhood diseases in my old age.  I just had chicken pox about 6 years ago.  The virus itself was like having the flu as an adult, pretty rough.

Good morning, CRSers.  It was 20 degrees this morning when I first got into my car.  The wind isn't whipping as badly this morning, so it really doesn't feel any worse than the last few mornings when the temps were 10-15 degrees warmer.

I mentioned having a fever and sore throat Friday and Saturday.  Sunday I felt pretty good, just a little fatigued still.  Monday I felt great but thought I'd caught my first case of athlete's foot in several years.  I blamed the virus for weakening my immunity.  Not long after, I noticed a couple minor "burns" on my fingers, and assumed it was a Thanksgiving prep injury I'd forgotten about.  Nope.  My slow brain finally pieced it together, and with a little research I self-diagnosed Hand, Foot, and Mouth.  It's a pretty normal progression - fever then mouth/throat then hands/feet over the course of a few days.  Typically thought of as more of a small child's virus, I've been told that more adults have had it lately in this area.  Possibly it has evolved itself a little?

Hoof-and-mouth disease??

Good luck with that, HL. It will be a miracle if I don’t come down with something. My oral hygienist had the crud yesterday. My office manager has the crud. And one if the guys I met with last night had the crud. I’m doomed.

Hope you can kick the HFM Doc.  Not sure what one has to do to get over that but good luck regardless.  Glad you weren't involved in the accident last night Chech.

Good morning folks.  I'm working today but tomorrow I have to take the day off.  Mrs. Nalt's mother is having surgery to remove a mass on her colon.  Hoping and praying for the best outcome for her...

Good morning folks.  The old saying is true, "When it rains it pours!"  Today is when Mrs. Nalt's mother is to have surgery to remove the mass in her colon.  My oldest brother sent me an email yesterday around 11:30 saying that Dad had had a heart attack.  I left work and went to the hospital and he was already in recovery from having had a stint put in.  He had three blockages, 1-100%, 1- 70%, and 1-50%.  The doc stinted the total blockage but left the other two to deal with later.  He was awake and feeling pretty good when I left for home around 4:00 yesterday afternoon.  So, as I said, Mrs. Nalt's mother will be having her procedure this morning in the same hospital where Dad is so there is that convenience.  However, the youngest boy came home from school yesterday afternoon crying saying his throat hurt.  He went in the house and went to bed and went to sleep.  He hasn't gotten up yet.  Hoping he doesn't have strep so that 1. he can go to school today. and 2. I can go down to sit with Mrs. Nalt, go to class, go back to sit with Mrs. Nalt until time for me to get home to get the kids from the bus stop... I'll be taking him to the doc this morning as soon as the office opens to find out.

Hope you have a wonderful day today.  It is cold here but supposed to be warmer than the last couple of days. I think we are supposed to actually heat up into the 40's today...
