Over in the American League the Red Sox have opened up a 5.5 game lead on the Rays and have the best record in the AL. They are 8-2 in their last 10 and playing well. The Sox only have 22 more regular season games.

I know we have some Baltimore fans on here. They are 8.5 back and fallen to 4th in the divison behind the Rays and Yanks.

Yea pmull, I know of 2 supporters. cbbama and me are the two their maybe more. Don't forget the Braves are my first love. RTR!

Preacher, you had me fooled. I thought your first love was Alabama. RTR

Alabama is above everthing in sports to me. I I meant my first love was for the game today, or tonight. Thanks for that, I should have clarified this. God Bless. RTR!

Dodgers' offense is really sputtering right now.  We're not going far in the playoffs if the bats don't heat up.

Funniest thing. My cousin the Phillies fan is yukking it up on Facebook that the Fillies have taken the first two games against the Braves. I guess she is choosing to ignore the fact that her team is 20.5 games back and will be watching the playoffs from their couches.

Braves lost again today (Sunday): 3-2.

Phillies hit a homer in the bottom of the 8th.
Game was tied, 2-2.  Batter had an 0-2 count, then worked to full count, then homer.

Every year the Braves go through this. Even when they went to the play offs those years they still blew up at the end of the season. I think they will have home field advantage.
The O's ain't out of it. They are only a 1.5 games behind the Rays. I forgot to check the schedule but if they play the Rays head to head, I think the O's win the 2WC. RTR!

Ricky, O's have one series left with Tampa down there. They also still have a series left with the Yankees, two with Boston, and two with Toronto. Tall order, but not impossible.

Thanks cbbama for that update. I think with them getting hott right now is going to work well. I bet you will tear the gate down when they make it to the play offs. RTR!

Good news for you Braves fans.  Jason Heyward had the bracing/bands removed from his broken jaw and will begin taking batting practice this week.
