Did any of you see Strasburg, Nats pitcher, get tossed last night, it was hilarious. I have never seen anything like that happen before in a baseball game.

We hardly ever get the Braves games here, so I didn't get to see it. What happened, J?

This was all about what has been happening in previous games of players being hit by a pitch. Simmons was batting(RHB) and Strasburg threw his first pitch 4-5 feet off the left side of the plate to the backstop. His next pitch was very high and inside to the backstop. His third pitch was about an inch behind Simmons belt high to the backstop. That got him the heave ho.

I kind of figured it had to do with him probably retaliating against Harper being plunked. Harper is the kind of guy even I would like to punch in the face.

I can see why they ejected him. He couldn't throw a baseball in a cotton basket. When someone tries to hit a player with a baseball he should be fined and ejected for 5 starts. We have people all over the place complaining about concussions and this idiot just threw at another person. Lawsuit city. RTR!

Braves win today 2-1 and take the series. This was a very tough 3 games between these two teams and the Braves had to use every player they had to come out on top. It's been a long time since I've seen a Braves team that could play and win low scoring games as they have this year. Applause E-Cred

That was a good series, and 3 great games.  Today's game wasn't as exciting as yesterday's, but still a nail biter.

I have to keep up with them through either Gamecast or the ESPN streamer if I'm watching something there. Congrats to them for yet another series win.

Outstanding relief pitching is the answer. If we had this type of relief pitching in the 1990's, we would have won 4 World Series. My guess is we won have won in 91, 92, 95, & 96.

I agree with 3 of those 4. I think 91, 95, and 96 for sure. I don't know about 92. Toronto was incredibly strong that season
