Braves pitching is as good as it gets. As the roster fights back from injury, if they don't regress, they should be hard to beat.

Remember, the Braves are beating a lot of cupcake teams. It will be a lot tougher in the playoffs and we need some real competition to get ready for the playoffs.

While I agree that the teams they are playing are not the Dodgers or the Orioles (ahem), it doesn't take away from their accomplishment. These are still major league teams, and no matter how much better the other team is, they will lose to bad teams sometimes. Even the 1927 Yankees didn't win every game.

The Braves and Marlins are in a tough one tonight, they're in the 5th inning with no score. Wood is pitching for the Braves and Eovaldi for the marlins, each team has one hit.

Braves third baseman and NL leading hitter Chris Johnson was ejected by home plate umpire Jim Joyce in the first inning for arguing balls and strikes.

Awww, he is letting the ump get inside his head and control him. He knows he is better than this so he needs to learn how punish the umpire by playing hard. Never let somebody control your actions, if you do they control your life. RTR!

So the ump is upset that the best hitter for average in baseball is questioning his calls. Once again, the umps think the game is about them.

I didn't see it, but Jim Joyce has been voted as the best umpire in MLB every time the players have voted for 10+ years, and it usually isn't close.

Interesting info. I have never seen that, though I know Joe West is usually voted the worst. Maybe Johnson was rude or offensive.

 Huh?

Braves beat Marlins 9-4 even though Minor has a shaky game, but Braves gave him great run support. Minor is 12-5 with 2.87 ERA for the season. Heyward hitting lead-off seems to be a positive move for him. I'm glad the Braves ended their losing streak.

Like I said, I didn't see the game but I've heard multiple Braves fans complaining; that was the only reason I knew who the ump was for the game.

Actually CB Bucknor has been considered the worst in all the players votes for several years.  Cowboy Joe isn't all the bad of an ump when he can keep his ego inside his hat.

Heyward had 4 hits today and Gattis had 3, not too shabby. Gattis is an amazing player, surely he will receive a post season award for all that he has accomplished.
