Got one alert that said dislocated hip, but this says fracture. Giant difference.

Looks like both. A posterior hip fracture.

No doubt his season is over. I just pray he can still play after he recovers.  Undecided

I feel so bad for Tua. I sincerely hope this doesn't ruin his NFL career. His family pulled up stakes and moved to Alabama to support him. I know his dad was without a job for a while. It's had to be a tough situation for them.

Prayers for Tua that he will heal and be able to completely recover from this injury.

Dr. Cain says dislocation but will make a full recovery.  This season is over for Tua, though.

Here's Dr. Cain's quote:

“Tua Tagovailoa sustained a right hip dislocation that was immediately reduced at the stadium. He is undergoing further testing to determine the best course of treatment. He is expected to make a full recovery but will miss the remainder of the season.”

This injury sucks for Bama.  In the grand scheme of things though, screw Bama.  This sucks BIG-TIME for Tua.  I hope he is able to recover so that he can return to playing football.  He has been such a terrific representative of what a college athlete should be IMO that this injury hurts more because of the probable effect on his potential career.  Tua has the personality and attitude that I am sure he will always be a very successful person regardless of whether he is slinging the ball all over the field, coaching from the sidelines, or some other career.  I am so appreciative of his deciding to play for Coach Saban and the Tide.  I thank him for all that he has done as a member of our team.  I hope and pray for much healing and success for him going forward from here...

ESPN had a doctor on, who said his injury is exactly like CJ Moseley's against LSU in the Natty. Just like in CJ's case, the hip was popped back in place on site. She expects Tua to be playing next year, fully recovered.

The dislocation is one thing.  I think they've confirmed a fracture, which also might heal by next year but carries additional risk of complications.

The doctor said the fracture comes with the dislocation. If it's a simple fracture, no problem, which they think is Tua's case. It's the compound fracture like what Bo Jackson had that can be devastating.

It looks like Tua will heal from this, thankfully.

His season is over at Bama and maybe his time at Bama as well. It’s Mac’s team now with 2 games remaining. What a story it would be if Mac could lead this team to the playoffs and then actually, win it all.

Now that, would be a story.
