It looks like Tua will heal from this, thankfully.

His season is over at Bama and maybe his time at Bama as well. It’s Mac’s team now with 2 games remaining. What a story it would will be if when Mac could leads this team to the playoffs and then actually, wins it all.

Now that, would will be a story.

God Bless the young man for his upbeat, positive outlook on life and his love of God. He is truly a special person.

Well said MD.  Well said.

Bama nation has heavy hearts today.  In the twinkling of an eye Tua the QB was taken from us, his season suddenly ended. Tua the special person will live on.

But for another young man -- Mac Jones -- in that same twinkling of an eye, he suddenly became the starting QB for the Alabama FB team.  Mac is no longer a backup or 'fill-in' for the man, he is THE MAN. That responsibility must be weighing heavily on his shoulders today. The team will rally around Mac, and so must we.

Prayers for Tua, but prayers for Mac too.

Amen on the prayers as I ask God in church today to be with Tua and our football team as they go through this time of the unknown as well as the known. RTR!

My son was very upset with Saban so I sent him a video of Urban Meyer when he talked about this matter on Fox halftime show of the Minnesota/Iowa game. Scroll down to the video on the website.

I submit this to you: You are the head coach. The season is winding down to the last few games. There's 3 minutes left in the half and you're about to replace your starting QB with your backup. About that time, your star QB comes up, puts his arm around you and says "Coach, c'mon, let me at least finish out the half".

Give me an honest answer, do you tell him no. or do you send him in?

I would send him in. I think many of you and most of the coaches out there do the same thing. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think so.

I think you are right. I would probably let him to see if he could up his numbers for the Heisman purpose. RTR!

Tua was flown to Houston this afternoon to be examined by one of the best hip surgeons in the country. He will have surgery in Houston tomorrow.

Great article out of Michigan (of all places) about Tua in Houston.

Quote
But it’s hard to tell that from the demeanor of the record-setting quarterback today.

Tagovailoa is in Houston awaiting surgery, and a couple videos have hit social media, one of him showing off some dance moves from the hospital bed and another of him playing the ukulele.

They must have his hip numbed up some for those moves.

Good info on Tua and his injury/surgery.

Quote
Cain says there’s a big difference between Tagovailoa’s injury and Bo Jackson’s infamous hip injury that _(ended his career?), per ESPN’s Laura Rutledge. Jackson assumed his injury wasn’t severe and continued to play on it, while Tagovailoa received immediate help after his major injury occurred.
