Hey, I love what I just read. I like how many coaches he sent after Lewis. maybe it works out now and I love seeing how tired they were. We use to not practice at Ranburne until we was tired, gosh we would be running through plays and huffing and puffing the whole time. I like what I see from day one. RTR!

Just saw the article about the first workout by CNO with his new team. Looks like Antoine Pettway will be kept as an assistant. I sure hope so.

Would be nice to see Pettway stay.  CNO needs someone with experience recruiting in Alabama and vicinity.

I wonder if those who put in for a transfer are working out?

I had the same question Coach.  If they are still on the team why wouldn't they be at practice?

You would think.  However, if they can't commit to being there would you want them taking practice time from the ones who are?

Just saw Petty has withdrawn from the transfer portal and will stay and play for Coach Oats.

Good news. Hopefully, someone will work with him to help him regain his shooting touch.

Shouldn't we start a new thread about him??

I believe that Kira is also going through workouts/drills with the team.  I know he's at least been in the film room with Coach.

Interesting coaching change if you think about it.

From a former NBA coach who coached professional, developed players.

To a former H.S. coach who taught kids the fundamentals.

I wholeheartedly support this change.

I heard Allen Greene (Auburn's AD of the last year or so) on Finebaum yesterday.  Unfortunately the guy is extremely likeable.  What I didn't realize was that he was Buffalo's AD for 4 years, coming in right after Oats was hired there.  He also gave him a new 5-yr contract in 2016.

Finebaum asked him if Byrne had called him and asked his opinion of Oats.  Greene said that he wouldn't discuss that out of respect to Byrne, but went on to talk about what a great man/coach Coach Oats is.

I haven't thought of it like that.  Good insight.

Texas A&M made a bigger splash than we did by hiring Buzz Williams.
