Holgerson from WV to Houston.   Huh?

Manny Diaz to Temple for 2 weeks, then HC at Miami after Richt quit.

Seems like a step backwards for Holgerson.

But more money and better recruiting in Texas.  Maybe he's taken WV as far as they can go.

With Grier being gone, I think the QB tank is empty at WV, and it's time for him to move on. Like you said, more money and a more fertile recruiting ground, not to mention, the weather is warmer in Houston.

Holgerson was pretty average at WV and I think his time was up there. For some reason, WV thinks they should be competing for National Championships. In 8 years, he won 10 games twice, with an overall record of 61-41 in 8 years & 38-32 in the Big 12. Like I said, very average.

That is average from a coach who use to carry Houston on very high scoring games. RTR!

Neal Brown from Troy appears to be the next HC at West Virginia. Hate it for Troy but a great move for him.

Looks like WV was looking at him already with such a quick decision.

He did a pretty good job here. Hate to see him leave. As we’ve seen in the past, good OL coaches are hard to come by. Seems like just one more distraction for the team.

I have to believe if CNS didn't think he could replace him with better he would offer more money and keep him. RTR!

Here's why Coach Key is living:

Quote
Key has spent the last three seasons at Alabama coaching the offensive line, but he was also a four-year starter at right guard for the Yellow Jackets from 1997-2000, playing for Coach George O'Leary, who Key coached under at UCF. He was there with Collins for two seasons (2008-09).

Kliff Kingsbury now head coach for the Arizona Cardinals -- yes, the NFL team.

Because he did so well at Texas Tech that they fired him?   Huh?

Quote
The Arizona Cardinals made a splashy hire Tuesday by grabbing former Texas Tech head coach and recently hired USC offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury—a name that had become the hottest in coaching circles this hiring season.

Kingsbury was fired by Texas Tech in November after six seasons, in which he had a record of 35-40, but he quickly was hired by USC. Then, before he'd even called a play for the Trojans, he became one of the most-sought-after interviews for NFL teams.

So why was Kingsbury so highly thought of in the first place? How could a coach who failed at Tech be considered ready for a head coaching job in the NFL?

This is hard to believe Kingsbury is going to lead the nfl team. RTR!
