"The yearly coaching carousel always spawns rumors, and one of the biggest in this cycle links Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley to the Cleveland Browns’ opening.

On top of Riley being one of the hottest names on the market as the NFL has started trending toward young, offensive-minded coaches, Cleveland would give him the chance to reconnect with quarterback Baker Mayfield."

Can he leave for Cleveland immediately?   Grin
Not until we send him packing with his tail between his legs.  Cool

Why would anybody in their right mind leave a balanced good program like Okla for the Browns who couldn't win if the other team fell over? RTR!

Not so fast my friend (UGH)! According to the eminent prognosticator Cris Carter, there may be another name the Browns (and Packers) are coveting:

Footballscoop.com started it off by claiming that Gattis had been offered the offensive coordinator job at Maryland, and was expected to join Mike Locksley's staff.

However, that was quickly refuted by Bruce Feldman of Fox, who said his sources claimed the report was "not even close to accurate."

So Auburn hired an OC, they're giving Kodi Burns a co-OC/passing game coordinator role, and Gus is going to call the plays.  That, my friends, is a hot mess.  If I were Allen Greene, I'd be making my case to the lawyers regarding firing Gus "for cause" after that blows up in their faces.

Kenny Dillingham is the new OC at Auburn. He came from Memphis and is 28 yrs old. Reminds me of when Major Applewhite came to Bama.

I don't care who or how great of an OC at auburn as long as Gus Bus is still there they are gonna be messed up. Gus will find a way to mess up a good thing. I truly hope auburn keeps him forever. UCF beat them and Purdue probably will. RTR!

So Butch Jones to Maryland w/Locks, Enos to OC.  Does Enos continue as QB coach or does Coach Saban hire a new QB coach?

Is this fact or thought? Because I don't think CNS will hire another QB coach over his OC. RTR!

The Jones to Maryland is being reported as a done deal.  Enos to OC is being reported as a done deal.  The question about a QB coach is mine.  There was a lot of talk this season about what a great job Enos has done with the QBs and the impact of having a dedicated QB coach had on the offense.  Splitting focus between OC and QB coach duties has been cited as a "problem" in previous seasons.

I agree with ricky.  Enos can be OC and still coach QBs.  I don't recall "splitting focus... cited as a problem."  Kiffin was able to coach QBs and offense.  The "problem" was not having an OC or other coach good at developing QBs.
