We all know about Les Miles to Kansas and Mack Brown to North Carolina.

But have you heard about Jim McElwain being on Jeremy Pruitt's short list for the Vols OC position?

Hadn't heard that.  McElwain is coaching WRs at Michigan this year.

There are some rumors that Colorado might be interested in him as a H.C.

Either way, McElwain was bought out by Florida and is doing fine.

I'd heard Pruitt would like to hire Freeze if his sentenced has been served with the SEC Office.

I saw last night where Brohm wants to stay at Perdue. How bad does a program have to stink, that you don't leave Perdue for it?

Purdue sucks as a football job.
Louisville isn't a favorite city of mine, and the campus suffers from little-brother syndrome, but at least they're in the ACC.  Lots of potential there for an upcoming coach.

I saw a post on an Auburn message board last night where a barner said the Georgia Tech job would be perfect for Malzahn. He could run the wildcat, sugar huddle, jet sweep, point at the ground, chew gum, pick his nose and run up the middle all he wants.

Purdue sucks as a football job.

Perhaps not the highest profile of college football jobs, but they gave him a pay bump to over $5M a year to stay.  Seriously - $5M a year to coach Purdue?

That's Big10 money!  (Second only to the SEC.)

He's worked a minor miracle at Purdue, and they don't want to lose him and go back to being, well, Purdue again.  Plus there's added incentive required to live in West Lafayette, Indiana.

As for Louisville, sanctions against the basketball team for the sex scandal, plus the firing of Pitino for the pay for play scandal, has made that school toxic at this time.

It would not shock me if Matt Canada got the full time gig at Maryland. He had a real steadying influence on that team, very nearly pulled the upset on tOSU, and was close to a bowl bid. Plus, UM is not going to attract a high-profile candidate, and he seems to have the support of the team.

Its possible. He's well liked here, and knows the recruiting scene very well.
