Well there are some good names on the DB list but have they learn CNS system yet? RTR!

Tuesday before Mizzou:

-- Saivion Smith continued as the first-team cornerback opposite Patrick Surtain II in the nickel package without Trevon Diggs (broken foot).

-- The second group of cornerbacks included Josh Jobe and Nigel Knott. The second-team nickel back is walk-on D.J. Lewis. Keaton Anderson and Kyriq McDonald at safety with Eddie Smith and Jared Mayden shadowing them....

Mizzou's QB is very capable, and he'll test us.  Hopefully the D line can pressure him beter than we did against Arky.

We might get in a shoot out if our secondary doesn't hold up.  That won't be a problem with Tua in the driver's seat.

Our pressure from the "D" line is going to be the biggest thing in this ball game. RTR!

Wednesday practice report:

Left guard Lester Cotton, who from what I've heard suffered a minor injury (sprained ankle) during practice on Tuesday, was out at practice but wasn't participating in drills. Deonte Brown was the first-team left guard. With Brown working with the first-team, the two second-team guards were Josh Casher and freshman Emil Ekiyor...

Tua Tagovailoa, who banged up his knee (sprain) during the win over Arkansas, was again participating in drills...

Maybe we can have a big run game this week and keep the defense of Mizz off of Tua. RTR!

Unfortunately Mizzou's run defense will be one of the best we've seen so far, and we haven't had stellar success running against lesser opponents (other than ULL).

Thanks HL for this information cause I was shocked. I didn't know they were that good. RTR!

Yeah, and Cotton is about our best run blocker.

Somehow, I think our passing game will loosen up the run.  Cool

Could happen.  So far, every team Bama has played has chosen to stop the run and make the QB win with his arm.  That was how they played Bama with Jalen at QB.  They haven't stopped Tua, but that hasn't stopped them from playing run stop defense -- yet.

Tua is listed as "probable" against Missou.

That's the official listing.  As secretive as CNS can be, such as listing Jonah Williams having a "twisted ankle" when he missed the week with a sprain, God only knows how bad his knee is.

Like I posted elsewhere, some of the Vegas oddsmakers took the game off the list due to Tua's knee.

He is making Mizzou spend time preparing for both QBs.
