We should know more by Saturday, but it's looking like Kiffin is heading to LSU.

Banging your head against the wall.

Hopefully he'll stay until the playoffs are done.

I'm still not convinced he'll go, especially with more and more HC positions opening up. He would be a good fit for at Oregon, I would think, and there will be a lot of openings in the west before it's over.

Yeah, the link above says 75% chance he'll leave for LSU.  I think that's more like 50/50, but 75% chance that he leaves Alabama this year.

Coach Saban said he hadn't discussed it with Lane yet, so it prolly won't be until the weekend: Saturday or (more likely) Sunday.

If he leaves before the playoffs then all the discussion of Kiffin's maturity is still premature. I just don't see any benefit to him doing that. Sure, he can get an earlier start on recruiting, but it's still abandoning ship, and a bad look for him. He's burned too many bridges in his career as it is.

I'm not putting much credence into these stories until Kiffin and/or Saban say something.  In the past, didn't Orgeron work for Kiffin, and not the other way around?   Huh?

Bruce Feldman told Clay Travis that he thinks there is a 75% chance that Lane will go to LSU.  So in other words, they don't know anything and are just making stuff up to get people to read/watch/listen to their garbage.

This would be the dumbest thing ever to leave a championship program and go to a lower level team and be the same rank. My question would now who would replace him? RTR!

I think that is most likely the case as well.

Let's not be naive.  Kiff to LSU could happen.  So what then?  If he doesn't stay for the playoff games, does Sark step in as interim OC ?

Kiff has a lot riding on this move and how he handles it.

With the Oregon and Houston openings (so far) I think Kiffin is committing himself to permanent OC status if he doesn't get a HC job this year.  Especially if he leaves the BAMA OC position for the LSU OC job.

I keep hearing rumors that he and Coach Saban don't play well together.  Anyone know anything factual about this?

Neither of them would discuss such a relationship, so ...

As far as Kiffin leaving for LSU, I'm standing by the story.  Looks like you're all doubters; wait and see.  It may not happen, but believe me: Kiffin has an excellent offer and is considering it.  Lots of chatter from friends in Tuscaloosa about it.
