So what happens when Sims is the first QB out on the field for Bama?
Saban said just because one goes out there first doesnt realy mean anything.

But if it is Sims the fan base will declare him the leader.

It could be Blake Sims in the wildcat..lol
Yeah, I thought Saban should put in Blake Sims for the first play just to quell the instant impression.

I think all three play and most likely will look pretty good against Kent State. The real test will come against Penn State. We will be able to tell who the coaching staff has the most confidence in during that game.

Exactly. Its much easier to be calm and make smart decisions when 100,000 plus are on your side. Much more difficult when 90,000 + hate you and let you know about it, especially when your game experience is either little or none.

This is going to be a real interesting choice. If AJ goes out first it could be a pass. Should he send Phillip Sims out first you figure it is a run. Then here comes Blake Sims out and he runs the wildcat, so either way we gain yardage against KSU or PSU. Nobody can be that prepared for all 3 or can they? RTR!

Nick Saban talks game plan concerning AJ McCarron and Phillip Sims against Kent State

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama - Nick Saban said during his weekly radio show Thursday night quarterbacks AJ McCarron and Phillip Sims would each receive equal playing time to start the season.

The Crimson Tide opens its season Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium against Kent State.

"Basically, we're gonna play a guy for three series and the next guy will play for three series and then we'll do it all over again," Saban said Thursday night. "...I know everyone has the idea you have to play with one quarterback, that's the only way you can play. We had two guys that have both done a really good job. Not one has separated them self from the other. How they play in the game may go a long way to saying which one of these guys is better."

If nobody separated them self, then nobody is best.  Surprised at 3-series each, though.
