More likely distraction/driving angry than intentional.

Sad, sad stuff. I assume Chech moved this to the Quad. I appreciate that since more posters will be aware of this incident. Kid had his life spinning out-of-control, but he hit a highway sign not a bridge abutment which doesn't sound like suicide. Anything is possible, was he speeding, like 90 mph, distracted/angry like CP says, drugs/alcohol, suicide, or just an accident?

I just shake my head and wonder when things like this happen. What was it in life that he couldn't be happy with? He signed to play with the highest profiled team in the country and for whatever reason, he never wanted to play by the rules of the team and left the team. I can understand that happening occasionally but he then transferred to another school in Nevada and was dismissed in a short period of time there and then he enrolled at another school in Louisiana only to get in trouble and get suspended from this school and then he is dead.

Life can be tough but I just don't understand the young ones anymore.

This is why I say we must get GOD back in the schools. Would he have prevented this one, I don't know but he would sure have had a better chance. It is sad and I just lift this family up to the Lord for support and compassion. RTR!

I know where you're coming from. Probably from a 1 parent family & as a great athlete he was pampered & never heard the word NO. Not grounded in family & faith, the pillars of success for most folks.

Apparently he was driving home from being dismissed from his latest school in Louisiana?  That's why I said his mind probably wasn't on the road.

That's what throws monkey wrench into the situation. Was he focused while driving, angry & despondent, or something else? I'm sure we will hear more.

Happens too often these days.  Lady plowed into a telephone pole on my street the other day and totaled her car because she was on the phone.  This is a neighborhood, 25 mph speed limit.
