Florida State QB in limelight again, STRONG LANGUAGE!

But guess what? He's not just another dude. He's not even just another famous dude. He's the star quarterback of the No. 1-ranked, defending national champions, who also happens to be the defending Heisman Trophy winner, and he is under Title IX investigation at Florida State right now for his sexual encounter with a then-FSU coed in December 2012 – the one that didn't result in criminal charges but could still result in penalties on campus.

Given all that – a man under investigation in an alleged sexual assault, who is auditioning daily for a potential nine-figure career in the suddenly very image-conscious National Football League – maybe this isn't the thing you want to be shouting from a table top on campus. Here in the real world, where football players are under more scrutiny than ever for how they comport themselves and how they interact with women, this is industrial-strength stupid.

Fact is, Winston doesn't seem to have learned much about life in a fishbowl. Signs of maturity are stunningly slow to appear with him.

At least this one wasn't illegal.  Richard Pryor made big bucks using similar language.  Maybe he can be a comedian if this sports thing doesn't work out.  Maybe next Jameis will tell Pat Forde to just have a coke and a smile and shut the #$@ up.

The timing of this video surfacing and the (limited) press coverage is interesting, i.e. with the Peterson and Rice stories in the NFL.  JW isn't in any legal trouble but significant press coverage could put pressure on Jimbo and the FSU admin to do something other than 'investigate."

Let's clarify something about this story.
Jameis Winston has screwed up recently by shoplifting crab legs from a grocery store.  He's a thief!

But the issue of him yelling, "[Expletive] her right in the [expletive]!", is salient because Jameis is being investigated for sexual assault.  That charge was swept under the rug at FSU, and Jameis was hardly even questioned about it.  Word is, the investigation has been re-opened.  See the story: "Florida State University Finally Launches Investigation Into Jameis Winston Rape Report."  Click here for link

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston has been suspended for the first half of Saturday's game against Clemson after he was seen shouting an obscene sexual phrase on campus Tuesday.

"It was not a good decision," coach Jimbo Fisher said of the incident during Wednesday's ACC teleconference. "You can't make certain statements that are derogatory or inflammatory to any person, race or gender. You have to understand that. You have to be very intelligent about what you say, (because) it matters."

The No. 1 Seminoles face No. 22 Clemson on Saturday.

"We're deciding. We're talking and things [are] going on right now," Fisher said of Winston's status before the punishment was announced. "It's not something that we want or are indicative of. And it's not a good decision. It was something that had to be addressed."

On Tuesday, Florida State students began flooding Twitter as several witnessed the reigning Heisman Trophy winner allegedly stand on a table in or in the immediate vicinity of the student union and yell obscenities, mimicking a popular Internet video. The phrase is of a sexual nature.
