Quote
Villanova transfer and former five-star recruit Jahvon Quinerly verbally committed to Alabama on Sunday, he tells 247Sports.

“Coach Bryan [Hodgson} and coach [Nate] Oats recruited me the hardest as soon as I got my release from Villanova,” Quinerly said. “Bryan came and met my parents his first week on the job.”

“What they did at Buffalo is special and their offensive numbers and strategy are as good as anyone’s,” he added. “They were a top five to ten team in every offensive category. The ball moves, they get out in transition and they created a culture where guys are super unselfish and that’s something I wanted to be a part of.”

They may be planning to go to the same school, but I know that they did not successfully use this as a bargaining chip to get Saban to offer a 3*OL a scholarship that he didn't feel the young man was worthy of.  He's shown many times in the past that that tactic doesn't work on him.

OH yes HL. I totally agree I didn't mean it like that but that since the 3* was already offered then the 5* kid would be coming this way after what he said.  , RTR!

Saban has turned one or two "3 star recruits" into first round draft picks.

Great read.  And he sounds like a high quality, high character recruit.

All you need to know, other than that Saban wants him, is what his HS coach says:

“I’ve told folks that he is a better athlete than  C.J. (Mosley),” Theodore coach Eric Collier said of Kennedy. “And what I love most about Demouy is that he is extremely humble. He’s also the hardest worker on our team in the weight room. That isn’t sometimes. That is every day. All that is on top of being the best athlete I’ve ever coached.”

That's two 4-star LBs in the last week.  Now just hope they don't flip.

The Crimson Tide added to their elite recruiting class this morning, as top 100 prospect Demouy Kennedy announced his commitment to play at Alabama.

Kennedy, a linebacker from in-state Theodore, was once committed to the rival Auburn Tigers before backing out of his pledge. Kennedy picked Alabama over Florida State, LSU, and other big time college football programs he was being courted by.

Well these stars are great but we need those who desire to win Championships. Bama born and bred and touchdown fed. RTR!

There will definitely be no need to take off work to follow NSD this year.  Our class may be full by kickoff.

Clovis (Calif) running back Kendal Milton said at The Opening Finals last month that one of his top recruiting priorities is to find a school where he can make an immediate impact.

Everyone will find out that destination tonight.

Milton – the nation’s No. 22 overall recruit and the No. 4 running back, according to the latest 247Sports Composite rankings – is set to make his college choice public tonight at 7 p.m. He’s picking between Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama and LSU.
