The rain is relentless. I've never had my pool flood into the yard before, but it is now. It's a salt water pool, so my back yard is in trouble. It's still raining with more to come.

Anybody know what part of Tuscaloosa that tornado touched down in? None of my family members were affected, and since they are spread out all over T-town and Northport, I am quite curious as to its path. It wouldn't surprise me if it was in Taylorville, since that area tends to really attract the storms.

By the way, did someone manage to get 2 breathing again after seeing the golf course?

Answer: ATU's house. That's where. Happily, no one was hurt and my home remains habitable.

That is an amazing picture to look at, but, horrifying to think that was headed in your direction. I would have hated to be the one taking the picture,

I think it's the same tornado twice.  To photograph lightning, a camera shutter is left opened.  The lightning strike exposes the film.  Leave the shutter open for a few seconds and get 2 or more strikes.  It appears that those 2 strikes exposed the tornado twice.

I used to take photos of lightning behind bridges and other scenes.

Still, that's a great photo.

I didn't even think or consider that when I first saw the picture. Thanks for pointing that out and explaining it.

I have an old college friend who forwards me and everyone he knows emails all the time of random stuff. I don't know who took this photo. I had wondered if it was real. Regardless I thought it was a great photo.
