My two cents. JF is a special talent. He makes dumb plays and if we weren't so spread out, those throws back to the middle of the field get picked. We had one for a TD by VINNIE. Those couple of jump balls were poorly played by the secondary.

Offense looked great minus the Yeldon fumble. The line blocked and gave AJ an enormous amount of time to throw. The guys up front were able to move their man and open big holes. I think we will see more of JF at RB. He is the bruiser and tough yard guy. He maybe should have been in instead of TJ on that fumble.

D line was good but the DBs need work and that is CNS strong suit so we shall see what next week brings.

I look for power football next week.

Manziel is very, very good.  So is McCarron and Mac is more poised and experienced.  I'll take AJ.  We showed a He.. of a lot of progress, particularly the OL.  Secondary will be OK because we won't see many QBs, RECs, OLs as good as this one.  Maybe Ole Miss will be a challenge.  Certainly LSU.  SC/GA, I don't know.  Oregon, definitely.

Looking forward to hearing from hscoach.

Manziel is the best college QB I've seen.  Two years in a row he's pretty much had his way against one of the best defenses in the country.  Our secondary needs some work, but time after time he threw the ball right where it needed to be.

The good news is that we've now made it through what should be the toughest game of the year with a win.  Our boys showed they've got championship character by not giving up when things weren't going well, bouncing back from mistakes, and earning a hard fought victory in a hostile environment.

The officiating was suspect at best.  I'm very glad it didn't ultimately affect the outcome of the game.

Bottom line:

Alabama won.  But our weaknesses were exploited, and we know where we need work.  It was a perfect game, hard-fought and a nail-biter, but showed the young players they NEED WORK.  They'll keep working hard now; perfect.  We're in great shape: NUMBER 1.

I will say that I'm glad Saban is DB specialist.  They need the most work.

The offense was outstanding with the exception of the Yeldon fumble. I agree that Fowler would have been better in that position, but hind sight is always 20/20.I'm really proud of the "O" line, even though Cyko had some false starts. They really got the job done yesterday, both for the run and the pass. AJ was slow to start in both halves, but once he got warmed up, he really played well.

The "D" line and secondary were horrendous, I don't care how you look at it. Manziel is a great QB, but we gave him all day to throw, and throw he did. It was virtually pitch and catch most of the day. Fulton got owned like he did in the first half of last year's game. Even though Cyrus Jones made the key interception that really got the momentum going in our direction, it's obvious that he needs more experience in that position. Belue going down killed us. Haha had a tough day, also.

2 bright spots on "D" were Vinnie and Landon Collins. Vinnie was out of position a couple of times, but the interception for a TD was a thing of beauty. Landon was all over the field making play after play. He was like a man possessed. I think it's time for CNS to turn him loose on opposing teams.

But all in all, a win is a win, especially against a great A&M team and their outstanding QB, whom I can't stand, BTW, at their house.

Here is a different perspective on the game. My extra 2 cents. This was an unusual game. Texas A&M runs a no huddle hurry up. The move fast. Therefore Alabama had to keep pace. That offense puts stress on the D making it plain and no gameplan. It is strictly backyard football score fast and get the ball back. We could not dial up any blitzes or shift coverage, it was strictly man on man defense.

Our offense and even the defense kept up the pace. We often went no huddle. Once we got a 21 point lead we tried to run and burn clock. We scored out of that style. We will have to play this away against other teams, OM, Aubie and maybe Oregon. Just get ready for it.

Our offense is really good. Look at the combinations of scores we had. We quick strikes with KB and gave them the hammer on Yeldon's TD before half and on Fowler's TD late in the game.

A&M just has the ability to score so fast, everyone relax. Our defense is and will be pretty good

Bama's slow start almost got them in trouble yesterday but poise and determination prevailed. There are a lot of young ones playing this year and we can expect to see some mistakes from them but they also made some good plays yesterday. I am very impressed with the young group and they will only get better as the seasom progresses.

The Aggies threw everything they had at Bama yesterday but the better team prevailed as good teams do. There's a lot more games to be played but I think Bama came away from yesterdays game with a lot of experience that will pay big dividends down the road. As expected Bama was a much improved team yesterday than from game one and that is what the coaches are after, improvement from game to game.

Another thought I had. IN most games, if one team takes a 3-4 TD lead, the other team usually gets a little demoralized and doesn't usually take the momentum back. Saturday, I don't believe the A&M offense even knew what the score was. They didn't care how much their defense gave up or what the lead was, they just came out and said we're going to score now. That shows incredible confidence. As a corollary, Bama's D was never able to make that one play to keep A&M from taking the momentum back. You just don't see teams display such confidence when trailing by so many TDs.

BAMA played better and deserved to win but I am sure glad Amari came up with the onsides kick. I did not want TAM and JM his receivers to have another shot!
