Almost embarrassing to admit we were comfy watching the game.     But it was fun.

It was great to see Brian Branch play this receiver so well to preserve the victory.  Excellent coverage.
 

I was pleasantly surprised to see there was no penalty flag on the play.  I waited several seconds before celebrating.   NOT because I thought there was a penalty committed, just that seems to be the way the year has gone.

They must have been eaten by the servers.  We had pulled pork, chicken strips, brats, and some low-cal, salad bar stuff for the weenie crowd.

Even the receiver knew it was a good defensive play.  He wasn't even calling for a flag.  Brian Branch did a good job of undercutting the receiver and tipping away the ball.  Branch has become an excellent DB.

We didn't play especially well.  We lacked enthusiasm, and the contrast with Ole Miss was dramatic.  Our players walked around, and theirs danced.  The difference was we had fewer penalties called, adjusted better during the game, and we won.  One completed pass by them at the end and we'd have lost.  It was close.

Well, it may be Monday but it's Hump Day for me. Heading back to Pensacola Thursday for 12 days. Will be the first time I've been home since August. Home renovation is done. I hope I recognize the pacle.

Renovations?  Sounds nice already.  Did they add a new bedroom for me??  And level the driveway??
