Happy Halloween.  BUT, I'll never stay awake tonight to greet the little goblins (virus vectors?).  I was up watching Braves and late football games until midnight - very unlike me.  But it was excellent watching!

NFL today should be a good time for a nap.  You??

I couldn't hang last night. Went to bed after it was clear the barn was going to win. The Braves were down 2-0 at the time. Nice surprise to see that they won. And, for the first time this year, I was over .500 with the pickems (7-3).

I couldn't hang last night. Went to bed after it was clear the barn was going to win. The Braves were down 2-0 at the time. Nice surprise to see that they won. And, for the first time this year, I was over .500 with the pickems (7-3).

 

Congrats on the pickems.  Nice to be at the other end of the totem, huh?

Hopefully the LSU game will be afternoon.  We've got to go to the Memphis Airport next Saturday to meet a visitor.  Unless it's at 11am, I think I'll be watching a taped version of the game.

We had a neighborhood street party yesterday afternoon.  Then the folks announced that kids will be Trick-or-Treating tonight (Sunday), so they want us to sit at our driveway entrances to hand out candy.  Old man (me) talking: "KIDS THESE DAYS CAN'T EVEN WALK UP THE DRIVEWAY TO ASK FOR CANDY."    Think I'll put on a real scary outfit to greet them (shotgun and camo?).

You've seen my driveway in Pensacola. We've had one set of trick or treaters in the 16 years we've lived there. 

Yeah, I've known mountain goats that couldn't climb that! 
We had none last year.  But I think the neighborhood-association folks are encouraging kids to stay in this neighborhood this year.  Our houses are on large lots (ours is 5 acres), so the kids like to go elsewhere to get more for their hiking.  More likely that parents would rather walk less!

1.  It's suddenly November;
2.  Halloween ended with a whimper (we had 3 groups of kids);
3.  Braves lost;
4.  Saints beat Tampa Bay;
5.  Sunday and today = sunny days;
6.  Winter comes later this week...
