Back surgery scheduled for tomorrow, providing the AC doesn't fail again at the Spartanburg Surgery Center.

I was up early watching Tiger play his round this morning.  He got a bad draw on his start time yesterday (course played much harder in the afternoon as the wind sped up).  Their round took over 6 hours yesterday, and he had to be out on the course in under 10 hours.  Not good for the old man with the bad leg.

Yeah I was disappointed also.  Seems like all of the golf luck he had turned 180 degrees to bad luck.  The gold gods get their revenge.  BTW, the gods were never good to me; I'm still awaiting my golf luck.

Now that 2 will be recovering from back surgery, he will need help reaching those items on Walmart's bottom shelves.  Maybe this young lady will be there for him.

Good morning CRS. Surgery successful. Now I have to wait for the inflamation to go down before they can activate the stimulator, which will be Wednesday.

My nurse had an Eastern European accent so I asked her where she was originally from. She said Ukraine. It melted my heart and we talked about the events happening there now. I asked her if she had family there and she said yes,. Some had fled Ukraine for refugee camps in other countries, but she still had family who stayed because they owned farms there and didn't want the Russians to get  them.

I said "God bless you and God bless your family'. It got rather emotional. She was a very sweet girl and a very good nurse. I hope her family will be ok.

So glad all went well with your surgery, 2.  You have a LOT OF FRIENDS!  Heal fast!

Inside story: Last evening we all waited for word from 2's daughter that his surgery was completed.  I was on a text chat with 18 other "friends of 2" that 2 set up (I guess).  The phone was quiet during surgery.  LF and I went out to dinner with friends in Oxford, then word came that 2 was in recovery.  My phone blew up.  The danged thing was jumping in my pocket, message after message of well wishes, and it kept up for half an hour.  2 has a lot of friends!!  We passed the phone around the table, hoping someone knew how to get my name off the text chat.  We needed a teenager!  Nobody knew how.  People Googled for help, but my new iPhone 13 and the suggested fixes didn't match.  Finally I texted the group begging for help, and then my phone went quiet.  Whew!  Not sure who among the 18 (or 2's daughter) knew the fix, but thank you.  Now I await word on the method needed to remove yourself from a group chat.

You ought to feel honored I added you to the list.    In the future, if you'll click on the people listed at the top of the message then click info, there is a button you can click on that will 'hide' the notifications.

I did click on the "Hide Alerts" option, but they kept coming.  I don't know quite what that option does, but it didn't stop the messages.  Google said there was a way to remove yourself from the group messages, by simply choosing the toggle called "remove yourself from group", but we didn't see that in my version of IPhone (13 Pro). 
Anyhow, it wasn't a major issue, just a focal point of discussion during dinner (LF kept telling me to put the phone away -- we're teated like children at this age, you know.
Just glad you're on the mend.
