Sorry to hear about the ankle injury, Preacher.   What are they doing to treat it?

I went to Regional Medical Center Hos. in Anniston, and they did great till they saw my back surgery and found out I was a VA patient and they paperwork me right out and did nothing. Notta and I mean nothing so when I go about my staples tomorrow I am going to the ER at VA and see what they can do. A friend of mine said they may have to re break it to fix. RTR!

Ugh!  I am really sorry to hear about that Preacher.  I know a guy that had to have his leg rebroken in order to set it several years ago.  He didn't have any insurance so they didn't give him any anesthesia.  I can't imagine the pain... I pray that your care will be much less painful and will provide great relief.

Thanks HL, and Chechem. The only thing I need is prayer especially for Mrs Dottie she is hurting more over what they did than I am. Oh my Lord was she HOTT! RTR!

Good day for me - after ten months of swim training (with a month lost a week after starting last year when my bicycle went sideways at 24 MPH) I finally swam a mile (1.2 actually) in one go. Total time of 49:44.

Starting point last year was 225 meters in 17:00 - most of the time spent clinging to the pool wall gasping for air.

Umm, like, you did that on purpose?

Great job...

Yep. Planning to do a half IRONMAN in Chattanooga in May next year - 1.2 mile swim in the Tennessee River, 56 mile bike ride, and a half marathon.

Then a full IRONMAN in 2023 - 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and a marathon.

Next step will be my first marathon, looking at Memphis or Huntsville in December.

Sorry to hear about all of this, Preacher. Praying the pain subsides and you receive the treatment you need quickly.

Geez, I go out of town to work for a couple of days and Preacher gets hurt (praying for you and Mrs. Dottie, Preacher), NALT has an anniversary (belated happy anniverary, NALT), and Phil goes all Navy Seal on us (congrats Phil). That's the most that's happened on here in 2 years!

Oh, and nice pick of the wolf, Chech. Y'all have a great Thursday.

It's football season 2, first real one in 2 years.  Draws 'em in like moths to the porch light.

It's pushover time.

The good news: Bama plays Mercer.   Cheesy

The bad news: Mercer won its first game 69-0.    Sad

The good news: Mercer's opponent was Point that has only played football since 2012 and has never had a winning season.    Cheesy

It is football season. I’ve worked thirty hours already this week and will probably work forty more between now and the end of Saturday.  Stars

Is there a particular reason why you are working that many hours each week?  Some might say it will make an old man outta you but I contend that it will make a rich woman out of your wife.  Assuming of course that you have a lot of life insurance on yourself... Wink

Trying to keep the business afloat in the midst of an economy where everyone has money to spend but nobody is working. And one of our leaders got married and now her husband doesn't want her to work any more. Another's daughter is in the hospital waiting on a heart transplant. Another tore her rotator cuff last Saturday.

At least I get paid overtime.
