Good morning.  Coffee

It's cold this morning, but the cold will be repacled by rain later this week.  Sound familiar??

NFL Combine seems to be the only real news about Bama football.  Nothing shocking about the performance of our former DBs.

News here?  I got a new set of tires on the ChechMobile.  Those suckers are expensive!

You'd think they are mixed with gold these days or something. I had some Michellin tires put on my car last year. I had to mortgage my house.

At least I learned that asking for a discount means an instant discount.  I think they simply make up the numbers.

Yeah, I think the markup is pretty high for tires. What you pay is a crap shoot.

Watching TWC coverage on the Lee County tornado is breaking my heart.  Sad

I had to turn it off when they showed that elderly woman talking about her sister's death.

Did you see the NBC National News?  Their broadcast started with a guy among the debris wearing an ALABAMA sweatshirt.

Chilly morning indeed.  It's not quite as windy as yesterday, so it didn't feel quite as bad.  I still let the car run/heat blast for 10 minutes before making my 5am departure.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning folks.  Really cold here. It was 22 degrees at my house when I got up at 4:00 this morning.  At least it isn't raining at the moment.

Morning HL and NALT.

My youngest daughter is coming up today from Pensacola to visit for a few days. She's planning to leave Saturday, but it looks like she will be running into the same kind of weather that the southeast just had. I may have to send her packing a day early.

Rumor has it that Stater was the guy who the lottery winner let cut in line.  Click here for link

Quote
A lawyer for the winner of last October’s $1.5 billion lottery came forward on Monday and told local news outlets that the winner intends to stay anonymous and will take a one-time payment of $877.8 million, the largest jackpot payout ever to a single winner. The winner would only become an actual billionaire by taking the prize in annual installments over three decades and hanging on to the bulk of the money.

It was revealed Monday that the winner allowed a fellow customer in line last October at the KC Mart in Simpsonville, S.C., to cut the line to purchase a ticket, an act of kindness that paid off.

I've been in that store a few times, but I quit buying lottery tickets years ago. There's some speculation by the locals as to who the guy is. I doubt he'll remain anonymous for long, at least in these parts.
