BTW, we had snow flurries before daybreak today.  A few little piles of snow accumulated on the deck.  More flurries expected this morning.

It's cold.  Ice cube

Good morning, all.  It is a cold, windy morning over this way, but it's at least dry.  I made sure to warm my car up before climbing in for the morning commute.

Good morning folks.  Cold here.  It was about 29 degrees when I left home going to the gym before work.  When I got to work 2-1/2 hours later the temp was 27... Very sad about the weather in Lee county.  I have a co-worker whose daughter started at Awbren in August and lives in a trailer.  I need to talk with him and make sure she is ok...

I have a couple nephews at Auburn now (I think we'd discussed before that you know my BIL that went to Auburn).  I haven't heard anything about any major damage around campus or actually in Auburn.

I just talked with my co-worker.  His daughter is fine.  Another co-worker has a SIL that teaches in the town where the tornado hit. She is fine but we still don't know if the 6 and 8 y/o deaths were students of her's or not...

Yeah, I remember that your BIL was an Aub.  His kids old enough to be in college now?   Shocked

Well we just got another 100 gallons of gas this morning. That will carry us through the cold spell thanks to some wonderful friends. Of, course they know who they are. Well we just knew winter was not over. I am glad all my site family is safe. Have a Blessed day. RTR!

Yep, they've got a senior and a freshman down there.  My brother has a senior and a sophomore in college.  I'm getting old.   Embarrassed

The BBC anchor talking about the tornado said it went near the town of "Oh-PELL-ika." I guess it's hard for the British to pronounce our weird town names. They would never get Arab right either.

I haven't seen anything official about an increase in body count, but a friend of mine, who is a retired firefighter, said that he's hearing from the EMT communities that as many as 40 bodies have been recovered. I sure hope that's not true. 23 is too many as it is.

I don't believe that we've been over freezing all day here.  I'm not sure how much warmer it is down in Lee County, but this cold weather can't be making things any easier on those folks displaced from their homes and the rescue workers.

Only good news related to that is the infrared cameras on drones work better if the ground is cold.  They're using those to search for survivors.

Good morning.  Coffee

It's cold this morning, but the cold will be repacled by rain later this week.  Sound familiar??

NFL Combine seems to be the only real news about Bama football.  Nothing shocking about the performance of our former DBs.

News here?  I got a new set of tires on the ChechMobile.  Those suckers are expensive!
