A lawyer for the winner of last October’s $1.5 billion lottery came forward on Monday and told local news outlets that the winner intends to stay anonymous and will take a one-time payment of $877.8 million, the largest jackpot payout ever to a single winner. The winner would only become an actual billionaire by taking the prize in annual installments over three decades and hanging on to the bulk of the money.

It was revealed Monday that the winner allowed a fellow customer in line last October at the KC Mart in Simpsonville, S.C., to cut the line to purchase a ticket, an act of kindness that paid off.

Is that what tipped you off to it being 2?  I would have thought the same thing...   

I've been in that store a few times, but I quit buying lottery tickets years ago. There's some speculation by the locals as to who the guy is. I doubt he'll remain anonymous for long, at least in these parts.

That IS NOT what I was hoping you would say...

 

He already has a second home on a golf course.  He doesn't need no stinkin' jackpots.

Well it is cold here on the knob this morning. Good thing we got more gas yesterday. My knees and back was singing the blues this morning. I am still saddened for the folks in South Alabama. Mrs Dottie and I are still praying I just can't imagine what life is like to wake up without a home. You all have a blessed day. RTR!

Took a while to find it, but I finally saw a listing of dates on the LSU site.  Regionals start Friday May 31st.  I'll be deep in the Firehole River by then.

Well I am cold and it is cold on the knob. I turned my lights on on my water pipes and pump last night to keep them from freezing. Today it will be in the 40's that is real good considering winter is not over. RTR!

COLD again this morning (30), but promises to warm to ~ 50 as clouds approach and a south wind blows today.  Then it'll RAIN Friday and STORM with nasty stuff Saturday.  Gun show in Tupelo this weekend; driving in the rain won't be fun!
