No work for me today.  I managed a short walk (a little over a mile)...enough to get hot.  That bad thing is, I'm ready for lunch already!  It's not going to do me a whole lot of good if I just eat more.

Hey Chechem Mrs Dottie had to go today and have her port removed because she has been Cancer free for 3 years. Her cancer doctor said she was tired of pumping the port out, rofl. RTR!

A retired buddy of mine, who I see every day at the gym, was struck by lightning on Thursday.  He was driving metal fence posts at his farm near Oxford.  Pretty stout guy at age 74.  He's an Alabama graduate.

No thunder before the strike, just an approaching cloud mass.  He was holding onto a fence post when suddenly "BOOM", it hit.  His wife was standing there.  Apparently the lightning came through the ground, because his wife wasn't injured.  He woke up on the ground.

Today he was okay; just a little numbness in his right arm.  His eyes looked puffy.  Lucky to be alive.

What a day. Worked a half day and went to urgent care because my blood pressure has been screwy all week. After 2 1/2 hours, he called in a prescription to add to what I already take. Don't have a primary care doc up here yet. We'll see if it helps.

Been repacling baseboards since I got home. Got a lot done but much more work to be done. Is it football season yet?  Undecided
