Good morning.  It rained all night here too and is supposed to rain all day I think.  I'm ready for warm, dry weather and some extended time off from work...

ESPNU saying Alabama expected to finish NSD strongly, moving up to #2 overall.  
 

That would be sweet. I know there’s no way we can catch Kirby, but I think filling out needs is more important anyway.

Not sure where we finished in the recruiting rankings but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t #2. We filled some needs, though, so that’s what matters. Kirby knocked it out of the park. Congrats to him.

Will be flying to So Florida tomorrow for the weekend to visit family and attend my nephew’s services. After that, I’m not traveling for a while. As Lilly Von Schtoop said, “I’m tired.”

Good morning, all.  

It's cold again (mid-20s), but should be sunny today.  Better.  Rain returns this weekend, and I'll be at a knife show (it figures!).

NSD wasn't the Christmas some had predicted, but we got the CB we needed most: Patrick Surtain.  We'd already landed the top DE (Eyabi Anoma).  Both will likely play immediately.  Everything else was gravy, including LOTS of talent at WR and defense.  Barring the disastrous injuries like we had last year, or any knucklehead behavior, we should be DEEP at all positions.  Might be the best talent we've ever had; certainly enough to compete for the 18th natty.

Hopefully by now, 2, you're off to the land of warmth.  Have a safe trip.  I'd love to be down there on a beach!

I'm packing up the Chech-mobile today for a knife show; having coffee right now.  We watched the Olympics last night: skating and ski-boarding.  We switched back and forth to enjoy the Duke-UNC game too.  LF went to Duke; our son went to Carolina.  Carolina won with a big second-half comeback.  Good game.

Safe travels 2 and Chech.  Hopefully you can do well at the knife show too Chech.  Will be thinking about you and the family this weekend 2.  Hopefully Preacher and Mrs. Dottie are able to warm up today.  It is still cold here right now but supposed to warm into the low 60's by this afternoon.  Rain coming back tomorrow...
