Well, chance of rain Saturday in Athens jumped from 70% to 80%. I guess they think that the hurricane will spill over some rain that far west. I have my doubts, but I expect J and I will be taking our ponchos just in case.  Undecided

Rain?  Bummer.
But rain will also dampen the home crowd's enthusiasm, so maybe that'll help us.  I just hope CRS practiced for wet conditions.  We don't need no stinking fumbles!

Spaghetti models are all over the pacle, showing it hitting anywhere from SC to New England.  Still too early to really tell what it will do.

I had an aunt and uncle that lived on 24th Ave East in Alberta and I spent a lot of my summer time at their house. We played a lot of ball at Jaycee Park and watched some of the best fast pitch softball that ranked up there with the Clearwater Bombers. Alaberta/Holt is now a drug haven, not a safe place to be when the sun sets.

Do you remember Sally Sexton's store up close to Lake Nichole on Watermelon Rd?
By the time I lived in Alberta, we would regularly receive notifications of sex offenders moving into the "neighborhood," which I think was that drug/prison release apartment complex at Crescent Ridge and University.  I didn't mention this to my pregnant wife until I discovered that she sometimes kept the back door open (when I was out) in the early evening to let the breeze in.

I do remember that old store.

I once took a group of Japanese exchange students to have a picnic and jump off the Lake Nicole cliffs.  It was the funniest thing, not knowing their culture I immediately dove off the cliff upon our arrival.  Naturally, they all had to follow suit, with much trepidation and after investigating the depth of the water below (I think it is at least 45 feet deep there).  Afterwards they said it was highlight of their visit to Alabama.

Boy it sure is gloomy over here in East Alabama. I got a feeling we may be in for a rain storm flood in Athens Saturday. The Hurricane may move some to the west and it will be a messy game. Who holds on to the football wins the game in that case. RTR!

I think that hurricane is more likely to hit Bermuda than Athens.

I'm no sky pilot by your standards, but I know weather.  This hurricane is no threat (but it will rain in Athens, just not because of the hurricane).

Sad, but until the paddles and parents get back to controlling kids instead of the other way around this will continue. Hey they took God out of the and satan got a front row seat. So? RTR!
