The "Dillon Day stomped on my other sign" is funny.

Not so much on the Updike sign.

Well, good morning.  Coffee

Jamos, 2, and I had a big day yesterday in Oxford.  I've never seen more rabid fans pre-game than the Rebels yesterday.  We tried to walk through The Grove, but it was packed, shoulder-to-shoulder, like Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

There are a couple of fun pics on J's phone that we'll post.  Not as funny as CP's pic of us, though:

Prayers to The Drake this morning.  He's in St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham for surgery.

Morning CRS.

I'm back home now, got myself a fresh shower, and I'm still thinking back over our experience in Rebelville. The score didn't end up as we woulkd have liked but that didn't dampen my thoughts of the fun that we had there. Chech and LF were great hosts and we had lots of time to sit and talk about everybody, especially CRS members, and all of their bad habits that we know of, just kidding. It was a fun time though that 2 and I will always have some good memories of.

The Ole Miss campus has changed drastically since I was last there, the gameday experience was total chaos with fans shoulder to shoulder. Chech was a great tour guide for us, we met a lot of his friends and saw some things we wouldn't have seen without him and LF. The Ole Miss fans were just great, except for one, as we shared their tailgate parties. We had good seats at the game in one of the Bama sections and enjoyed the game until the 4th quarter, but it's just one game and if we have to lose a game I would rather it be Ole Miss than any of the other schools in the conference.

Thanks again to Chech and LF for the wonderful hospitality and to all of you CRS members, you are missing out on something special by not having met the two of them, I'm glad that I have. Wink

I've much enjoyed your descriptions of the trip, Jamos, and agree: I'd rather lose to Ole Miss. I've enjoyed trips there and they've had some poor seasons recently. Wish the ole colonel was still waving the flag.
